Stuart Moore

Top drawer save. He had to make a lot of ground fast, but then still get up high enough.

Super save in injury time, didn't realise he played both games for Luton when we beat them in the semi final of the playoffs.
Must be first Isle of Wight player to make an appearance for us.
Still buzzing after yesterday's win, made my weekend.
me neither. In that case I hope teams don't hoof hopeful long balls up field to their tall gangly forward.

What a decent save that was, looked as if it was going to be 2-2 at that moment. We need to see more of him but Critchley and the management team are adept at developing any talent that is within the individual.

Me thinks that he might be in the team for a while. Do we know yet how bad Maxwells injury is? Didn't look good at all when he was escorted off.

My brother, who was right behind the goal, says Maxwell probably wouldn't have got to that as Moore is a good 2or 3 inches taller. UTMP!

Nice to have a competent No.2 stopper as opposed to whoever has come through the academy on the cheap. Grimshaw looks decent to me too.
I don't think the academy players will take too kindly to that kind of comment, though I know what you mean.

It was a World class save, no exaggeration.
At the time I said that Maxi, as good as he is, probably wouldn't have got there. Stuart is 6 ft 2 and he stretched every inch to make that save. I said in the match thread yesterday that the ball was looping horribly over everyone into the top corner, after rebounding off Diaz and Husband.

We were in the South behind the direction of the ball, and I also thought that it was 2-2.
First league appearance and he's saved us 2 points already
Take a bow Stuart 👏 👏 👏

And he didn't just palm it over for a corner, he pushed it wide for Dujon to run onto and clear. Don't think my nerves would have survived another corner at that point.

A quad? injury according to Critch.
Don't know what it is, or how long that takes to recover.
Just had a quad injury playing walking football. its 4 muscles about 2 inches above the knee. For me as an old codger and following google advice it was 3 weeks rest. For an athlete with all the clubs resources it should be significantly less. Bloody painful though.

Looks taller than Maxwell and a good kick on him

Decent and an excellent save at the end will have done his confidence the world of good

Isle of Wight and I love Tangerine👍🧡

Great move by the club and great move for the lad leaving Wealdstone (relegation favourites in the National League) to join us as back up GK last winter. I prefer it to a youth team keeper as this lads not going to have his confidence destroyed by a bad performance and being on the bench isn’t stopping his development. He knows his team mates, knows Critch’s style of play and can push Maxwell day in day out in training. A lot of big clubs prefer to have an experienced back up GK and usually an experienced 3rd choice nowadays too. It’s good to see we’re doing the same and not relying on the cheap option of emergency loans.

It can be a bad injury for a keeper as it affects kicking. Depends on the grade of the muscle tear could be a couple of months.

Maxwell went down at Boro for a little while and looked to be holding the same area, but got up and finished that game and played the last match.

Not sure it's the same injury but perhaps he needs a break given how much football he's been playing?

Moore looks good enough to be picked in his own merits.

Let's hope so.

Unfortunately you're in a majority of ONE.
Watching tonights podcast and every one of those lads have said it was a world class save.

I suppose you're one of those people who, after one of our players scores the perfect hat trick (20yard screamer left foot, 25 yard screamer right foot, bullet header) turns round and says what's all the fuss it's his job innit?

Not at all, I’ll always give credit where it’s due and as I said, the circumstances make it a good save but if that was in the 5th minute then it’s just a save you expect any half decent keeper to make.

Ok

Maxi is a great keeper and influence on the squad. The important thing though is currently no player is irreplaceable and the team are not severely weakened by absences.
All the players will be unavailable at some point, but that is now seen as an opportunity for someone to shine.
I think it is fair to say Moore grasped his opportunity with both hands, which is pretty apt for a keeper.

Reminded me abit of the 09/10 promotion season when Rachubka got injured around the same time and Gilks came in and was solid which I don’t think anybody expected. Hopefully Maxwell is back soon but it’s nice to have a very good back up keeper

If that had gone in it would have been a joke. Standard save made better by the circumstances.
Agree. Looks a nice lad and he’s obviously good in the dressing room as evidenced by his enthusiasm at the play off final but let’s have it right. It was an OK save and nothing more and if he’s our keeper for any length of time I think we’ll come to see why he’s had about 15 clubs in 5 years.

Both class keepers.
Have noticed that Moore kicks it way longer and higher than Maxwell does.

Give him a chance FFS before you write him off. Critch and Banksy will bring the best out in him, but I’ve seen a few times and been very impressed.

Even just being a 2nd, or 3rd keeper makes it almost impossible at times to get a game to prove a point or claim a starting spot.

Yeah I think it was a vital stop clearly, one you'd expect your keeper to make, you'd be disappointed if not given his size.

Read the situation well and palmed away to safety, can't ask anything more.

He did everything asked of him.

Being a substitute goalkeeper and having to come on in such a high pressure local derby like yesterday must be much more difficult than for an outfield player, but he showed what a good replacement for Maxi.

Maxi's made plenty of world-class saves some better than Moores, would he have got that one? surely that would have depended on his positioning at that instance!.
Well, it's impossible to say, except that my brother was simply putting his interpretation on the save, being right behind the goal and Moore being a few inches taller. UTMP
