Whilst this is all impossible to predict, in my opinion, this is what the squad will look something like once all loan players have returned to their clubs, all players out of contract are retained or released, all players to be sold are sold, and one or two are loaned out.

Well done for getting squad numbers down but Virtue I am sure will be in squad, Casey is cover for Eki,.
Beesley or someone else will be cover for Madine.
Think it would be a mistake to keep Keogh, he has not featured much this year, and father time appears to be catching up with him.
Problem we have is a large number of those left have been beset by injuries so have missed more than a third of the season

Isn't Sterling out of contract at Chelsea this summer? Definitely need another right back to push Gabriel. I'd also keep Keogh & Casey.

Need a RW to replace Bowler if he goes (this bad bit of form at the minute might help us keep him)

Can't see Beesley leaving he's Madines cover, I think more likely we'll see Yates leave to a good League 1 side pushing for promotion.

Obvs need a CAM too

Thought he's signed a new c before he came here?

I think we'll see quiet a few unexpected departures (some unwanted).

Depending on money (that little critter) I can see an attempt to up the average of the squad meaning a busy (and expensive) summer.

The expectation is that it will be funded in part with Bowler leaving, however I don't think we'll get as much as we'd hoped, maybe 1.75m, rather than the 5m his earlier form pointed to. Though I'd much rather secure him on a longer deal, but it would have been done by now if it was to happen.

I think we’re desperate for a creative player and someone who can take a corner/cross the ball consistently…pretty basic stuff, but don’t seem to have a player capable of taking a corner..?
 
Do we think CJ will be part of NC's plans?
Hope we give OC a chance. Liked the look of him on the few occasions he's been involved
 
I would let Bowler go for the right money . He could be a world beater ,but I do think he is greedy, which lets his game down badly . The number of times he has beaten players then balloons it over the bar or straight at the goaly . There is usually support there that he rarely uses.

Whilst this is true, he has the x factor that very few players in this division possess. I wouldn't be keen to sell, but I'm not the one bankrolling the club, so it is easy for me to say.

There are plenty of players who have cost teams in the championship a lot more than we would get for him, who have a much lesser influence on games.

Good points ,but funny how we scored 6 when he wasn't on the pitch.
 
I don't think you should ever read to much into one game, whether it's good or bad. Better to judge individuals and teams and tactics over a period of time.

Squad wise, I've decided to leave it to the pros and see what happens. 🤠
