Not really. They know Ron Martin doesn’t like paying bills and he’s still the owner. They only needed to wait a few weeks and the new owners would’ve paid them.

And they’ve now agreed to wait anyway at the same time as pissing off the SUFC fans. Bit of an own goal imo.

Agreed, and good work by the Trust there to exert some pressure. They have really stepped up in the last couple of years.

I'm personally not so comfortable with the Football Creditors Rule. Why should clubs pay players and other clubs due monies ahead of other creditors? Leeds were spending millions on football creditors and causing grief to people in their local community by not paying small tradesmen etc. Southend will be doing the same, albeit smaller numbers.
