The data is already to BFCx3’s hand he was able to post it last night! He must have slow internet in his house.. We’re approaching 10 hours since he said he was going to post it!

Not interested in banning songs however I don't think it's a very good chant, certainly not on of the favourites, we have far better.

It's also basically saying Lancashire is great which includes Preston and our other rivals, so is a bit weird.

Surely it should be about Blackpool for e.g.

Oh Blackpool, oh Blackpool, is wonderful, is wonderful.

Oh Blackpool is wonderful.

It's got the beach, the tower and the mighty, oh Blackpool is wonderful.

Surely there should be some middle ground for those that simply don't care.
It’s the classic ‘loaded poll’

Kind of like saying

Would you prefer

A) if the song fizzled out and was never sung again

Or

B) Was the only song we ever sung for the rest of eternity

The reality is that it’s just a real ‘non-event’ of a song that is based in attitudes that we probably ought to have grown out of.

There’s nothing particularly offensive at all about the song, though people keep on focusing on ‘offensiveness’ (offensiveness would be a bonus and perhaps elevate the song from being so childish and banal).

As a chant, it sits alongside that pathetic Nolan’s song on the embarrassing ‘MEH’ness scale.

To be fair with an 11 year old granddaughter who I want to start taking to games I would rather not have the tits and fannies song.

It flies in the face of us trying to teach her to be a strong and independent young lady when songs like this DO objectify females. I don’t want to have to explain to her why it’s ok to do that. Because actually it isn’t.
It will also embarrass her, a lot, and it’s not conducive to getting young female fans in the ground. And we want the support, and we need the support.

IQ and maturity seem to govern which side of the fence you sit on with this one.

And by the way, the OP goes against Phil’s law.
