So when is the good news

So instead of having a pop at me try and discuss the points eh guys

Critchley yet again hasn't gone for any real experience as his assistants when we all know he performed best when he had some experience in CC or SMc

So what's the plan or the project with the new Sporting director and what has he done at Wednesday that he can bring to us?

People keep saying he's just got Wednesday promoted to the Championship. Why would he leave to come to a smaller club in the league below? Don't get it. Maybe Wednesday are upgrading. Maybe they never actually rated him?

With Critchleys appointment, why would we be surprised/disappointed with his choice of backroom staff? He was hardly likely to go for someone he hadn't worked with before, so perhaps we should have expected the return of these two.

For any of this to work we have to have a decent transfer window and a far better recruitment process than last seasons bollockfest. No matter who the coach or assistants are if we don't get the right players in, we'll be going nowhere. It was a difficult lesson, last season, I hope we have learned from it.

I don't know anything about the guy from the massive so I think it's unfair to judge him on a team that have just got promoted to the Championship, I will wait and see who we sign this Summer, I just hope Sadler will support him and ensure the money is there to get deals over the line, we certainly can't have a transfer window like the last 3. He needs a chance to prove himself so he won't be getting any moans from me but things can change and as I said, we can't have another shocking transfer window.

As for Garritty & Brunskill, I didn't. expect anything else but I seriously think they have missed a trick by not getting in a fresh face who is an experienced coach. Again, let's give them time to see how they get on, we may be flying this season and everyone will be delighted. If it all goes horribly wrong, it won't matter what Phil says the supporters will turn and we will be looking for another manager, I really hope that doesn't happen, because we need to get stability and progress, another manager sacking and search will be disastrous. So, I am just going to watch and see and have everything crossed that we will do well.
The Managers's on a 4 yr deal so I can't see him going anywhere soon. 🤣

Four appointments to vacant positions isn’t good news?

A head coach with Neil Critchley’s track record with us, his backroom team, and a Sporting Director whose club got promoted last season.

Not sure what people expected but it seems like a decent start to the summer.

There’s no guarantees it will be a good season or a bad season, it would be the same whoever we appointed to the positions. At least we’ve got it done early and can focus on the next steps of our rebuild.

Asda is always best for the cheap beer option.
Probably why it attracts such a fine clientele.

I was in there last night, 24 Stella unfiltered £20
24 Corona extra £20.

Cheaper than Aldi. 😁
By the time you have paid a couple of minders to escort you round..............

Well I got up at 4am, fed up of laying there. Went to Asda at 6 to get some compost for my tubs, planted the plants I bought yesterday, went to the tip, came back and did another heavy water on the tubs, then washed the car, and now I’ve sat down for a nice coffee. Feeling pretty good. Of course between 4 and 6, I watched the news, came on here for a while, had a shower, shave and sh@t. Anything else I can tell you ?
I was trying to reference the song. Sorry if it didn't click.

Just over a year ago (seems much longer) most on here were bereft after the departure.
Despite our opinions on the rehiring, we're surely in a better place now to hit the ground running when pre-season begins.
Imagine there'll be signings in the coming weeks which will split the fan base, but I hope all our washing's aired on here before the squad takes the field in August, so we can get behind the coaches, Board and players.
Not convinced we'll be in the running come May, but successful seasons for Blackpool are often all the more enjoyable when we surprise the League and it's pundits

All a season ticket does is reserve you the same seat at every match at a discounted price

Are you saying you have to have a season ticket to be a supporter of your club?
A season ticket shows your commitment to the club, helping it budget towards strengthening the squad. So long as you can afford it, and you can attend most games, why wouldn’t you buy one?

I certainly don’t require any positive spin to make my decision to buy one

At some point we're going to sign Charlie Kirk!

This is the inevitable wonder we have to look forward to.
Thought you'd be cock a hoop at the return of the Garritymeister - looking at his profile pic it's as though nothing's changed since the halcyon days 😀

He pretty much said it himself.

On his appointment, Downes said: “I am delighted to be joining Blackpool Football Club. The remit of being able to come in and massively impact the football department makes it an exciting challenge which I am thoroughly looking forward to."

You’ll be fun on the Friday AVFTT night shift later 😎

I think he's stepped up in his role for us. He was recruitment guy there, he's our sporting director - going down a league to get promotion.

I don't know the ins and outs of the Downes appt, but there has been a case in the not too distant past of recruiting someone who looked like a coup, but was actually not having their contract renewed.

Let’s hope this time we end up with a settled board, settled management and a settled squad, so next season w don’t need a major rebuild, just some minor improvements.

I’m looking for the entertaining football, Simon promised us when he took over.
Don't think we can expect entertainment to be hobbits, Critchley ball is all about possession and nicking a goal if we can.

Good for you

But having a season ticket doesn't make you more of a fan than say someone who doesn't have one and that's what you are saying

Can I encourage you, as an act of mercy, to post your stand and seat number please? This way, no-one will find themselves sitting next to you for ninety minutes by accident. 🙏

I went from 1968 until 1978 to most home games and many away games 🤕and never had a season ticket. Did that make me any less of a fan?
Season tickets are for cheap skates who want to save a few quid. I bet you've all got Tesco Clubcards as well
I was the same, 1962 to 1996, went to most home games and have never had, or even thought about getting, a seaon ticket.

With backpass Critchley?

Times have changed old man you need to get with the program there isn't a single club in the 92 pyramid(bar maybe one or two) who doesn't sell more Season Tickets than match day POG unlike the 70/80's.👍

Honestly, have your little wank about the amount of run chasers Youv got, or comments biting to you and consider this one.
Because you are one of the most boring negative men I’ve ever met who never have anything good to say about our club. Not matter how hard we try to put things right.
You’re an embarrassment mate.
And I’ve no problem telling you either before your chirp up.
Negative idiot.

Actually no it’s not.

My point is that I don’t have to wait for a statement of intent from the owner, nor a raft of star signings before I commit to buying a season ticket. I will do it because I am a supporter of my club come what may.

If youve got to sit at games a lot people want the same seat, and a guarantee you are sat with your family/mates. Didnt matter in the good old terrace days

And that's what to do with being an Uber fan ?
Fuck all but having a ST isn't being an Uber fan like you/some seem to think it's just the norm.
3 lads(one my son) late 20's and a 18yr old in my group who buy every season would never consider POG I wouldn't have done when their age. 👍
