I said to my Mrs don't buy anymore, it'll hurt her more than me. Cocktail hour will never be the same.

It was founded in Russia, but the Russian owner of the company had to flee Russia during the early past of the 1900s. Sure its actually American now?

Note: It is actually British owned.

Owned by UK company Diageo.
Same owner of that Baileys you enjoy.😁
Sorry to give your post an angry face, but when I was tenant stream chairman for Webster Wilsons and later northern area officer for NLVA I had many a battle with Grand Metropolitan over their dirty dealings with tenants. Grand Met being one of the founding companies of Diageo. So I have little love for them after seeing many individual licensees forced out of their pubs, losing their livelihood and also their abode. I wouldn't trust that company as far as I could throw it.

I'd stay off the Gordon's and Johnnie Walker also then.😁

Good mate of mine (used to live in Cleveleys) is on the board at Diageo.

Fair to say he left the coast at 18 and hasn’t returned except for parties (which he is only invited if he brings a lot of booze!!)

He was the man behind the premium rum range, and Pimms Winter (wtf?) and used to be MD of Johnny Walker brand (much better).

Sadly he’s a Liverpool fan - can’t get him to go Tang

Well curryman, I worked for Wilson’s when the Webster takeover took place, I was working in Yorkshire at the time. Maybe we know each other. I was in Yorkshire in 1970/72 and then back to Lancashire.

buy the cheapest vodka you can buy …it’s all exactly the same…..it’s ethanol and water at about 40% and you drink one part of it with about 4/5 parts coke/tonic etc………but people buy Grey Goose…..fukcing Mug Punters 😂

I'm boycotting that well known Russian delicacy - Beef Stroganoff, and if I see a Borzoi being taken for a walk, I'm going to give the owner a piece of my mind!
