Announced they are not refunding subscribers due to having no live sport, anybody else going to cancel? Why should I pay to watch re runs of Prem games?
And as for SSN,it will be a pleasure to say bye bye to Jim White.

My father called to cancel yesterday and was told there'd be a £60 cancellation charge.
He's still formulating his non - sweary response

Bye bye Sky. I would ** love it if football fans rejected sky en masse. More than Kevin Keegan would love beating them next season.

That's a disgrace. I cancelled mine about 6 weeks ago and only had to pay until the end of the month. Looks like Murdoch is getting jittery 👍
BTW - although only two weeks in, I've enjoyed MOTD a lot more without Sky!

Cancelled my subscriptions to Sky Sports/BT Sports today.

Not quite true about the £60 cancellation fee, if you have other services from then like I do Phone, Broadband, Sky Atlantic, etc they waver the £60 cancellation fee so I’ve just cancelled the sports package.

BT Sports slightly different in that thy are giving you a free month for April so not cancelling contracts just yet unless you insist.

The only time for a long time I have watched this was on our cruise in February( thank goodness we got through it before everything that has happened since). All the adverts were for Irish Banks,Irish this,Irish that and pay for whatever in Euros...presumably P&O paid a lesser fee for that .After a while you realise it is very much Groundhog Day.
I do have BT sports so have to think whether to cancel as it’s only the Premiership Rugby,Champions League and Europa Cup, plus the National League football that I watch ( note not the Premier League..not bothered one bit about that).

I presume it' s all about your contract that you have agreed to, mine have both run out so the minute I get time they are both being cancelled.
No way should you pay for something you ain't getting and it is then up to Sky/BT to get compensation from the companies.

What are they actually showing at the moment? Seems to be all the PL's Greatest Moments - wonder how many will feature Blackpool!!

He does have other services with them, shall tell him to get back to them.
Bloo*y chiselling Murdoch.

The Blackpool - Cardiff Play-off final is on Sky Sports ch. 403 at 9pm tonight.

This is now the third thread I've put this on. Doing my best to raise the spirits of Blackpool fans since 2019! (Before that, I was a bit grumpy.) 😊

I was reading an article yesterday which said the the PL would lose hundreds of millions if they could not play until August. If that is the case then Sky should reimburse or reduce their charge to customers

Dont have any sport with Sky just a TV package and Broadband for £46 but they have just put it up £5 mid contract which is an increase of over 10%. Piss take and now gonna get one of those dodgy boxes.

Just about to go over to the ground

Nervous.

They must know they're increasingly fucked anyway? Amazon showing games over Xmas is the tip of the iceberg, streaming services will take over at at a tenner a month.

Totally correct Lytham the Netflix model and it's game over for the likes of SKY.

I like Jeff Stelling but the rest of the panel were beginning to get boring.
I think I'm the only person in the UK that thinks Stelling is a smarmy bellend. I find him awful and he is looked upon like some football guru and national treasure. As you say compared to 'Thommo', 'Tiss' and 'Mers' he could become likeable.

If the country loves the bants, as the kids say, then its just me being miserable.

SKY SPORTS are giving customers the chance to pause their subscriptions for free to save them shelling out for cancelled events.

The coronavirus outbreak has seen the vast majority of sporting fixtures postponed or scrapped entirely.

And with it, many fans who fork out each month to watch Sky Sports' coverage put pressure on the broadcaster to give them some leniency when it came to their monthly tariff.

Now Sky have relented by offering their consumers to put a temporary stop on their TV deal to get rid of the currently-needless sports package.

The company said: "While we expect that many of the recently postponed sports events will eventually go ahead, if you wish to pause your sports subscription in the meantime you will not be charged a fee to do so or be held to any notice period.

"Meanwhile we continue to provide high quality content across all of our 11 sports channels."

A large part of Sky Sports' coverage centres around their live Premier League action as well as the EFL, Scottish football, rugby league, Formula 1, cricket and golf.
