Simmo reaction

Simmo, your side were piss poor and made no attempt to win that game.

2000 fans had every right to boo. We didn’t even need to get out of second gear.
Totally agree Carlisle were absolute shite today conceded 5 last time out at Reading as well.
They only made an effort last 10 minutes.
Can’t blame the Carlisle fans one bit today they deserve much better to what they are being dished up.
Out of order telling Simmo to fu*k off though no need for that.
Finally Moxon was just dire today which just summoned the whole Carlisle team performance up.

He's right they were shit, we were miles better, the fans deserve more but to cheer a player being subbed is a disgrace ... Don't give a shit about Carlisle or their poxy fans to be honest, wish we could stroll our way through more games like we did today ..

They were a similar style of team to Northampton yet adopted Appletons low block rather than pressed us.

Had the same result as Appletons low block did for us last season too

Simmo has performed miracles there and the fans should show a lot more respect. Not easy when someone shoves a microphone in your face when emotions are still running high. However, not a good idea to slag off the fans they pay their money and are entitled to their views.

Love Simon and you can see he is really hurting there, let down by his team, which is a second division team in all honesty, and he was truly hurting with the supporters reaction but that can happen anywhere and supporters were rightly pissed off with effort but no skill, we never got out of second gear and you have to question their tactics, you only have to look at how Northampton dealt with us, so he has probably reached the end there and I won't be surprised if he is another manager casualty this week. He'll always be welcome at Bloomfield Road though and will likely be commentating on some of our games with Chizzy over Christmas.

In my view Northampton were shite and we just played badly. Their manager thought they had been world beaters and also in subsequent games. Carlisle may not be the best team but Northampton's HOOF BALL was dire. At least Paul Simpson was being sincere.

I'm not quite sure what the Carlisle fans were expecting - to come and dominate at a club that were two divisions above them last season? I think their result at Bolton went to their heads a little. Realistically, their sole aim this season should be to stay up (as it is for most promoted teams), and games away to promotion contenders isn't really where their fate will be decided.

Oh, like some of our fans wouldn't tell Critchley to f' off if we'd of got beaten 3-0 playing like Carlisle did today. Yeah, right. Critchley would of got pelters.

Maybe the Carlisle players that they had available played the best they could. Simmo said that there is a lack of quality in their squad. Carlisle's new owners need to invest in decent quality players.

Didn’t realise he was their manager. Top man. Was he a wanker when he got them promoted last season? Short memories
He didn't just get them promoted either, he dragged them from the brink of non-league the year before, to a ridiculous promotion. He's spot on.

He's also in my all time Pool XI every single time. Probably the classiest player I've ever seen. Pure quality.

Some of our fans were giving Critchley pelters at 1 0, according to another thread.

I've always had good respect for Simmo (barring his blip at Dumpdale), he was one of my favourite players in the McMahon era and I was delighted for him and Carlisle when they won promotion. Ultimately football fans have short memories and resulrs/performances can't protect managers, it's a refreshingly honest interview from a clearly upset manager. I don't know the full back story but they very much look like a side short on quality, squad depth and confidence. The conditions played into their hands to make it a messy game, yet we basically cruised past them. I hope their fans get behind Simmo as he deserves to be given the January window, at the least, to turn things around.

As for their fans, good numbers but barely made a noise and from what I saw a lot were just smashed up teens on a jolly.

If they do pot him then we could do worse than put him in as a number 2 to Critchley...speaks well and has tons of experience and has an affinity with our club

In fairness, just had a glance on their board and they have a vote, "does simmo have your support" even after the game they're vociferously supporting him.

He's a poor lower league manager now, could do with a stint with Critch to learn modern day football coaching, like a lot of dead wood out there.

Embarrassing from some of our fans yesterday, a good few in there who clearly had sampled the delights of Blackpool for a little bit too long on Saturday morning and into the afternoon. I didn't see or hear any of the abuse (left when the third went in to make a mad dash to Blackpool North), but it's being called out by most of us. Paul Simpson has worked wonders on a shoestring budget, and deserves better than what he seems to have faced yesterday. Simpson has always worked wonders here over his two spells, and fully deserves a crack at the January window now we actually have some much needed cash to throw at the squad.

For what it may or may not be worth, I fully expect you lot to be in the playoffs at the end of the season. See you all (well, 1500 of you - our away allocation is equally poor, despite us also having plenty of empty space) at Brunton Park for the return fixture.

He's far from poor. That promotion was about as unlikely as Luton making the champions league. Shoestring budget, a club suffering from a decade and a half of decay, absolutely no right to expect promotion at the beginning of the season. The man is a legend to 99% of our fans, and I have no idea how the idiots yesterday felt justified.

You have every right to boo ,but sad if you have a sub standard team that has worked their socks off to bridge a gap that was two divisions last year. Poor supporters in my eyes.
