Sadler playing the waiting game?

Poolfoot is not a professional football club training ground IMO. It's a great community asset mind.

Forget about Poolfoot it is Pilley's pension plan. The East Stand development is time dependent so this should be the priority along with funding the first team. The training ground can be developed in phases as and when resources permit.

Providing Wyre sign it off, we should probably do it similar to the likes of Bournemouth.
Think they submitted plans in 2017, amended in 2019 and phase 1 started 2022 which comprised of their Indoor pitch, couple of outdoor pitches and some temporary offices. Would be a massive improvement with just that.

Well said Gareth, fans post like it's the bees knees of a training ground it simply isn't.
It's got an events venue and you can play on the pitches but our plans are so much better for training.
But our plans still just that..plans. Years of Sadler ownership and still plans. . Poolfoot would be a massive upgrade from what we have now.

I would think we would be better served on much more investment squad strengthening in the next window rather than pie in the sky dreaming of a new training ground that may or may not happen. It all seems a bit of a Sisyphean task to me.

Big developments take a lot of time. Big developments with multiple stakeholders, on authority boundaries, in environmentally sensitive areas take even more time.

The training ground is moving forward. Take a look at the plans on either Wyre or Blackpool council platforms and you’ll see the steady stream of documents, reports and amendments being added necessary to jump through the various hoops.

Last month it was some amendments due to an environmental report, the month before it was changed to the fencing a month before that it was reports from United Utilities.

Unfortunately a lot of people think it’s as simple as chucking up an extension.

Large scale projects take many many years to reach spade in ground stage but that doesn’t mean they’re not already in the process of being delivered

Well said LA1!

There is an assumption among the sceptics that Mr Sadler is stalling but I think we’ll find out that we can only go as fast as the process allows due to the complexities you’ve described.

I’m very confident that Mr Sadler will deliver a new training ground!! 🧡 👍🏻

You forgetting the two years where basically fuck all got done in this country?

The obsession with Poolfoot is nonsense, it ain't for sale, not owned by the Club and brings in money why on earth would the Pilley family sell?
