Roy Hodgson

Well after all the big clubs he's managed he sure as hell can't be doing it for the money.

Do the honourable and sensible thing Roy and retire.

Me too Mac. He deserves more respect than that. Also he should not have to go through the leaky reports this morning alluding to his sacking, that’s bad treatment from within.
 
Roy has been in management since 1976 so I am pretty sure he has been through the full spectrum of emotions during that time (including rumours of getting sacked or linked to other jobs.) Granted his age coupled with the associated pressure of being a manager must take its toll so he should take this as a warning and quit while the going is good.

Managed twenty two different teams in eight different countries. Only ever a youth player at Crystal Palace. Another manager who was never a so called big name. wish him well.
 
Woy should have got Wayne Wooney as his assistant.

Personally, my abiding memory of him is his failure as England manager; Harry Kane taking corners!

Following our early departure from the World Cup he didn't think he needed to face the post match press conference to explain the debacle.

Great manager. His passion for the game is obviously over ruling his head. Needs to resign, nevermind wait to get sacked.

Always liked him.
However he should have given up and had a nice retirement 10/15 years ago.
Must have a lousy home life??🤨

I hope he’s ok.

However i have a good mate who is a Palace fan. Neither he nor me would see Palace as punching above their weight.
They have a big catchment area. They have masses of youth talent on their doorstep which would naturally gravitate towards the club rather than say Millwall.

I was really surprised when they potted Viera last spring. They had 10 games left, 9 of which were against teams below them. Hodgson duly got them to win games they would have won anyway.

Whatever the rights and wrongs of bringing in Hodgson for those 10 games, to appoint him for another season was simply to guarantee a season of stasis at best. And now they find they have to sack him again for fear of relegation in a season where 2 of the promoted 3 are uncompetitive and points deductions are on the agenda elsewhere.

Get well Roy, but you’re well out of this
 
Seems a decent bloke, rally hope he comes through this OK. We should also be eternally grateful for him for managing Liverpool to a historic doubling at the hands of the Mighty Pool.

Rhotacism is not classed as a disability or even an impairment, but a variation of pronunciation.

His former club Fulham had a banner saying 'In Woy we trust'

I doubt Mr Hodgson is unduly concerned about any comments made on an insignificant message board.
