They’ve written to all clubs in the league asking for an agreement for clubs to charge away fans £20.

Burnley have compromised at £25 and done the same with all clubs. They’ve written to all clubs in the league asking for an agreement for clubs to charge away fans £20.

Might make an effort because it's July - warm days, light nights and Blackpool for the weekend. You could argue that the likes of Reading wouldn’t bring many more than 1500 no matter what
£25 is fair in my eyes, cant see many getting on board with the 20s plenty mantra.Burnley have compromised at £25 and done the same with all clubs.
Totally agree, can’t think who was most expensive for away game last season for us but I hate spending more than £70 for me, missus and kid.Been saying from the start £30 is too expensive for us to charge should be 25 hate fleecing the away fans I'd be cheesed of it was recipicated.
Spot the team with the massive half-empty ground and no local rivals.
Fulham?Totally agree, can’t think who was most expensive for away game last season for us but I hate spending more than £70 for me, missus and kid.
£30 at FulhamI think the dearest last season was Bristol City at £33.
Can't remember what we paid at Fulham.
By putting off away fans? The clubs regularly on TV (West Brom) aren’t dishing out their TV appearance money to level the playing field nor are the clubs averaging double our attendance figures. Likewise Burnley, Norwich and Watford are happy to keep their parachute payments and the advantage that comes with them.
The ONLY advantage we have from a financial perspective is that we can charge away fans more than most clubs, both for tickets and at the concessions, and still guarantee huge away followings compared to other clubs. We’ve got to milk that opportunity dry I’m afraid (regardless of the morality) and we’ve got to do it until we’re no longer at a massive disadvantage.
It may cost our fans an average of £8 quid more to attend an away game but it represents a 6 figure sum in the Blackpool FC bank account.
Disagree. The membership means we can charge less to our own fans than away fans. And whether it’s a Tuesday night mid winter or not and on Sky or not (which the chances are we won’t be) the clubs that would sell out their allocation at BR are still likely to see out their allocation. Losing 33% of potential ticket sales (to away fans) before a ball is kicked is not going to bring in 33% or more in terms of numbers over the course of the season.By putting off away fans?
When they find out it's £30 for a midweek game(which there are plenty)shown on SKY red button or pay a tenner on their own TV platform it will put people off as a point of principal.
Just because we are at a financial disadvantage that doesn't warranty overcharging as we are not only doing that to away fans but the homes who want to come and go as they please.
We want to increase attendances that's how you bring more money into the club not charging this high amount.
All midweek games are now shown on the red button SKY when the CL gets going.Disagree. The membership means we can charge less to our own fans than away fans. Yes but its also about the stadium experience. The east is OK at best, decent view, but with slightly restricted view because of pillars. Why should a Reading fan pay £20 for what is the hottest away ticket in the Championship yet Blackpool fans pay £20 for a trip to an industrial estate with no redeeming qualities whatsoever. Reading don’t travel in numbers anywhere.
Also Reading can charge £20 a pop to home fans and boost their gates by 70-80% yet if we do that we maybe get an extra 10-15% on the gate max and lose thousands as a result.
Horses for courses and that, but don’t for one minute think Reading are on some sort of moral crusade on behalf of fans.
