I am going for the first time. Hoping for a Pool win and that their striker on loan from Ipswich doesn't get 2 goals again, like against Charlton.
 
Was always disappointed at the LDV Final after our barn storming Glad all over that they played 'Something inside so strong' - talk about a pre-match killer!
 
I would have sworn we played them in the late 80s and I went ............ memory playing tricks in may old age
 
Striker Big Joe Mayo was on loan to us from Cambridge early part of the infamous 1982/83 season, 5app,1goal.

Didn't go first time round but been to the rest. Not one of the great grounds of England.

Tying it in with a trip to London to help my daughter move
Staying over in Archway Saturday night
Saturday will be a very long day, hoping to be on the road for 7am

Dion Dublin was a great player - the only one decent player I can remember associated with them although that was late 80s/early nineties? Didn’t Man U sign him from Cambridge?

Not these days Robbie, it's so expensive to live here now all the rough areas have been taken over by the new elite and the area has changed massively. A lot of homeless, lots of bike thefts, some trouble in the clubs and bars because of the amount of students but it is a pretty peaceful place. When you need to pay £700k for a 2 bed on the street terrace you know the world has gone completely hat stand,

They had George Reiily and Steve Spriggs, I think. But they were just a very good, hard working team.
