Gerardo Bruna?Who was that South American wonderkid we signed 6 or 8 years ago - touted as the new Messi. Saw him do a Cruyff turn at Burnley in about the only game he played. Then he vanished.
Cubero?

Robson could well become a first team regular. Apparently he has been playing very well this season…Davies was the main one. Thought we'd signed at least 15 goals guaranteed. We hadn't. We'd signed a fat bloke.
More recently I thought Ethan Robson was the most promising of that initial flurry of Critch signings which included Yates, Marv, CJ etc. Not given up on him yet but I thought he'd be a first team regular.
I think you mean Andy Fat ** Reid. Tubby unfit wanker with us that did nothing, came back with Forest the next season or one after that and looked fit, interested and ran the game for them.Andy Reid
Was he even a footballerStuart Green - hands down the biggest disappointment
think you mean JamesKevin Beattie. Kebab munching wage stealer.
Completely forgot rob earnshaw ever played for usRob Earnshaw.
Banvo Anderson
A good one. There seems to be a lot of players that came in in the Ince/Ferguson eras that I had completely forgotten aboutApostolos Vellios was a huge disappointment I thought he would tear the league up.He had scored off the bench a couple of times for Everton aswell so we had all seen glimpses. No idea how that didnt work out.
Alan Mayes was a funny one. Bagged a few during a months loan but deep down you knew he was a bit shite. Signed permanently & really proved the point.Kevin Stonehouse and Alan Mays (not sure about the spelling) from the 80s will take some beating!
Hard one to include as a disappointment.Bobby Tynan came with high expectations and looked a classy player but his career was cut short by injury.
Said 62 years & counting! That Matthews. He was a crock when we signed him and we paid over the odds. He was a bloody has-been. Spent the war years being an RAF fitness instructor then back to Stoke. I bet they loved it when we came in for him. Total waste of money.
Yeah but it doesn’t matter could have been Bessie. Useless didn’t he come via Rangers ?think you mean James
Walwyn & Cunningham, although I thought TC had some talent, for a strikeforce who were going to terrorise Div3,it all went rather mediocre.I'll add Keith Walwyn. Prolific, until he came to us. A few Alan Ball signings also spring to mind. Someone already mentioned Willie Morgan. Ted McDougall as well.
yeah totally agreeYeah but it doesn’t matter could have been Bessie. Useless didn’t he come via Rangers ?
Came on as a sub against Bolton away. Had a chance but passed it straight to the keeper. If I remember right we lost 1nil , night match.Robert Earnshaw
Did he ever play when he signed for us ?
He followed Ball to Southampton,Portsmouth and Exeter.Who was the lad Alan Ball played when he was about 4 years old? Must still be our youngest player??
Eamon Collins or something or possibly nothing like that name, was going to be the next Pele apparently, did he ever play again? For anyone?
Alan Groves was great for Oldham and ran us ragged.
Disappointed when he came to Pool.
Died of heart attack at 32.
Eamon Collins played at Colchester when they were in the Conference.
The next George Best was the Gazette headlines.
Rob ClareWho was that England u21 international centre half we signed from Stockport under Colin Hendry?,he is that vague I've forgotten his name.
