People saying it's looking like Jones but who do the fans most want?

Evatt for me because of the style, his love of BFC and the boost itll give to crowds etc.

Jones for me, proven at this level and a failure is no bad thing if it is learnt from.

I would also be very supportive of Evo but I would be a little concerned about his lack of experience.

Either will be fantastic 😊

I dont know much about Jones but seems he would fit the bill too. Still lean towards Evatt for the feel good factor but maybe Jones will too once he is known.

So apparently he plays proper attacking football too and is clearly passionate. Should be interesting if either get it.

Just about leaning towards Jones but would be delighted with either.
As you say, whatever went wrong at Stoke I hope he has learned from and become a better coach for it.

What about Ian Evatt and Nathan Jones to co manage the team 😄

They'd bring a lot of passion, positivity and attacking style.

I think Evo would live and breathe it and everyone would get behind him. And how do you get Barrow to the top of that League on their bottom 5 budget, with a +29 goal difference, in your second season in management, if you are not just talented?

Exactly. I'd love Evatt. Just think his personality would be a perfect fit as well as that ollie style.

The only game of Premier League football I've paid any attention to was Duncan Ferguson's first game at Everton.

You'd have to be dead not to understand why people want someone like Evo.

I like what Voy said. It would feel like it meant something to him. And thus, the whole pointless charade of football would feel more satisfying if it went well.

Jones is experienced are league one level. Evatt isn’t so it has to be Jones for me
Jones is also very passionate and plays football the right way.

I think evo would fit the Seasider work ethos required because Sadler has just shown everyone what he expects - onwards and upwards

Get in! What a come back!

You do realise this isnt for the actual job... or plot twist, imagine it was and sadler was undecided and glanced at this board which finally swayed him 😀

But yeah a lot of votes for Evatt in a short space...

Jones is yesterday's man. 👍

Jones is yesterday's man. 👍

Itll probably be Jones but yeah he has failed at Stoke, Evatt is just the man for me. But Jones looks like he might be decent too.

Got to be more positive and forward thinking than Grayson.

Locked at 50 50 as I type this... if the poll gets 100 people that's the magic number people always survey... going to be close.

Just nudged Evo ahead. I wouldn't be upset with a Jones appointment though.

Yeah looking like if either is appointed fans will be very happy. But I'd imagine the majority would want Evatt 'back' given they know him and what's hes doing with that ollie type style.

I'd be happy with either of them to be honest - Evo slightly more maybe, just because it's Evo!

Wasn't Ryan Lowe approached yesterday, did someone say?
It was Rekt on here. Not sure how reliable his info is. It's the only place I've seen Lowe's name mentioned. Also said Paul Hurst had an interview scheduled. He's struggled in his last two roles I believe.

Yeah he posted something about spoke to a guy he knows who said Sadler not happy with how it going and if he doesnt win both or loses one of those 2 home games hes gone.

Could have been a well placed gues but I'll go along with believing it.

As for the poll Evatt sneaks a bit further ahead.

Yep, got to be Evatt for me too. Would be pretty harsh to take him away from Barrow atm though, and I'm not sure that's something he would want to do. Will probably be an end of the season move if it is Evatt

Would sooner have enthusiasm and dedication than a bit of experience but no links to us.
In the grand scheme of things I don't think a previous link to a club is remotely relevant.

How often are ex players who return to clubs as managers actually successful? Billy, McMahon & Holloway, the most successful managers in my lifetime, had no previous links to the club.

I'd prefer someone with experience, previous success, coaching badges, contacts in the game and an attractive style of football over someone who happened to previously play at a club*

*not a slight on Evatt, I feel like with the football he's got them playing up there and how successful he's been he should be in contention whether he'd played here or not.

Whoever the owner wants to make manager.

Irrespective of who that'll be, we, as supporters, should get behind him and the team to see where it takes us to the season end.
