Playing Posh twice - acid test

Well, following last night's dismal effort we now face one of the league's most enterprising teams - twice. Taking on Posh's first and second choice players is going to be revealing. Is this our watershed, or the moment everyone accepts it's time for a change?

Why do you think they will put a second team out for the cup game……. surely they want to get to Wembley, probably more than us?

Don't bank on it being on! The pitch was flooded last night and the forecast for the next few days isn't great

For Critchley and the Club we need to play our best 11 in Cup, with usual cup keeper. Peterborough will not muck about. Trouble is we don’t know our best 11 because we are so inconsistent. Not helped by our 2 top scorers being injured.

Worst case scenario will be we carry on as the season has been so far with inconsistent results. Win one and lose one probably. We end up even further behind in the league but the cup result keeps him in a job for another few weeks.

I WILL be there next TUE. dont get to see my son very often. Tue night has been ideal so apart from wanting to see us get to a final . I coudnt really care less who is in charge. IF you want a left field replacement. Andy Preece . IT would be a huge step up BUT none of the others mentioned as possible replacements make me think X factor. preecy has done well at Chorley. Probably not because it WILL be Critchley till the end of the season.

I don't read your posts because your moronic use of capitals is infuriating.

I'm thinking they might just mix them up for the two games tbh. Why not, we're so predictable it won't be hard to coach the eleven that starts.

CAN your SON bring his BOOTS?

Can practically throw down guarantees that we don’t lose any of these next 3 cause it’s against sides who Actually play football and posh themselves are struggling atm

We definitely seem to prefer playing the footballing teams.

Or acid tests have been and gone. We are not good enough and it needs a fresh approach. I would go out and get Wellens at the end of the season as he has done wonder with Orient.

The fact their game was called off during the week and looking at the table, they could do with a win to not only keep up with the Top Two but cement their place in the Top Six, I think they'll go strong on Saturday and start weaker on Tuesday with enough on the bench if they need it.

Interesting you refer to their first and second team. Ironic our second team has kept this season alive and will Critch stay loyal to them?
It's a good point. The two games I can point to this season when we've really played with freedom were both cup games. I'd like to see O'Donnell start, if it was my call he would having a run in the league team by now.
I really hope we make the final and that everyone finds some way to become enthusiastic about it. Everyone associated with our great club could do with a boost, starting with at least a point tomorrow.

Two things.
1. I do think we’ll win one which will avert a crisis.
2. The irony would be we make the BSM Trophy against lesser opposition and lose!
