Playing Behind closed doors - Coronavirus

If games are forced to be played behind closed doors because of the outbreak of coronavirus, then the EFL should be lobbied and made to make games to be shown free of charge on ifollow to season ticket holders
The clubs will lose revenue from those that buy tickets for each game because of the shutdown, but then could at least allow people who have already paid to watch for free online, and those that hadnt got tickets can pay if they like and would mean the club gets back t least some of the revenue, although the efl should allow 100% of the money taken for ifollow to go to the clubs.
Thoughts?

That actually is a good idea, but not quite sure how it could be sorted out . If it was allowed free to all it would be another kick in the teeth to season ticket holders who have stumped up months ago for these matches .A bit like the Bury game . People who commented they would like their money back were shouted down , but I didn't hear of many who buy individual tickets sending their money into the club when the match was cancelled .

Just change the log in details so they match with season ticket holders,or the club can issue free credits to season ticket accounts, sure it's not a big thing to do

Anyone who was really that bothered about not getting a refund for the Bury needs to have a word with themselves.

Great idea and one that makes sense. I haven't got a ST this year, but would glady pay to watch online if behind closed doors

A big question would be is the technology up to it.

They will have planned and designed the system for a number of streamers, you start adding a few hundred thousand in the Uk and that tech will probably fall over - and scaling it that quickly may not be that easy.

It will depend how it’s delivered, ie own servers or AWS for example - either way the cost of delivery of the product would shoot up considerably.

like the idea though 👍

Its a good point, especially as its run by the useless EFL,unless they can persuade some help from one of their broadcast partners

Is there any point in playing the games at all if nobody can watch?
Yes becauae you have to finish the season and give those fighting to go up and stay up the chance to do so. Couldn't just end it now and say tough to teams who have enough games to get top two or six, or escape the drop zone
