Grimmy was better last season as was Shayne (barring his last match)

Pretty sure Bowler had a better season last year too 😁
 
8 out of the 11. Carey, Connolly and Patino not in League One squad. Still a reasonable point to though.
 
As per a number of posts above there are several improved players. I wonder how much of that is down to the consistency of the team selection. This season Appleton sticks with broadly the same players and this must surely breed confidence. Last season the team selections changed nearly every match, even if we played well.
 
Jerry Yates is a million times better this season.

I would have to disagree with the original post about Dougall & Carey though, until recently I thought both have started poor this season.

Connolly was our most improved player last season and has started this season superbly, I used to dread him at RB last season but he’s like a new signing in that position now.

Jerry is better than an overlooked sub that Critchley had him as last season. The season before don't forget he was the first Blackpool player since 1994 to score 20 league goals in a season. 🤷
