Worst guy on here. Silent when we’re doing well, vocal in defeat.

The worst type.

He provides entertainment, but only at his own expense.

Phil’s posts I can take in jest. 62 years on the other hand… He actually riles me. I get properly fuming at everything he says on this board, maybe it’s cause he once threatened to “come and find me”. He’s the biggest prick on the board by a country mile and if anyone ever wants his address…

I agree Phil has had his moments but he’s been quite balanced the last month or so. Seen a few of his posts being overwhelmingly positive at times. Especially during our good run. I think people don’t like the way in which he is saying stuff and can be quite blunt at times. But he’s one fan who without doubt wears his heart on his sleeve and says things exactly how it is and to the point

It's a football message board, as I understand it you can post when you like. At least Phil posts about football and not cheese, meat and potato pies or which fans sang better.
Might not agree with everything he says, but Critch has become a god like figure and beyond criticism to some.
Valid points about the last two games, stop tinkering, play your best eleven in a formation that suits and don't drop players who have earned the shirt.

Why would anyone want his address ?

Slow down a bit guys. Disagreements are fine. A different point of view gives you something to think about.
Nastiness reflects badly on the poster not the one it’s aimed at.
Funny how tempers are when we lose……..???????

Why do we have to have threads just to slate fellow Pool fans ? Everyone has different personalities, different opinions, and different ideas on how they want their team to play. If we all thought the same , it would be a boring world to live in . You don’t have to agree with everything other people say but you also don’t have to slag them off for having differing opinions . Merry Christmas everyone!

I agree with him some of the time and disagree with at other times.

He often inspires good debate and discussion but some threads get reduced to the usual AVFTT, "You want us to get beat" and You hate Critch" nonsense and things get personal.

I don't him know him personally but I'd say warts and all that the board is a better place for his input.

Absolutely Fatboy and a Merry Christmas to you.

Starting off threads just to have a pop at somebody is unbelievably cowardly

It's like its done to garner support to encourage other keyboard warriors to join the hunting pack

There was one last week directed at Basil Robbie i jumped on that one as well to say the same thing its poor form an an absolute cunts trick

And all that happens in the end is that it makes the OP and thread originator look a right ** ...

I don't know if I've actually started a thread re basilrobbie but if you are referring to me, I stand by everything I've said regarding his behaviour and my posts have been to highlight exactly what he has done.

I have only resorted to mentioning it on here because when I politely explained myself via other methods I was ignored and given that everything I've said was true, I'm not sure how that would make me a right tw@t.

Felt very angry post game. We’d been properly mugged. Today, it’s miserable. C’mon ‘pool. Give us a win and we’ll all be happy again.
Or, I’m off to JD’s for some anaesthetic.

I think he's threatened everyone on here at somepoint.... Oddly he's never come and found me at any of the home and away games I've been too (all but 3 away games this season)
He's an Armchair supporter.

If you take Maxwell and Grimshaw, this 'advice' contradicts itself. Trying to boil down management to hard and fast rules like this doesn't work. It isn't black and white.
Sorry I don't agree, you wouldn't drop a centre forward who was scoring goals, so why drop a goalkeeper who is keeping them out and performing well?
I said in an earlier thread, I was gutted when Maxwell got injured because I didn't think the back up was good enough. Bringing him straight back in despite Grimshaw's performances, will not only put pressure on Maxwell, but have a negative impact on Grimshaw.
Also to add, I think the pressure of replacing an in form keeper, showed in Maxwell's performance yesterday.
Why strive to be better, if despite how you play you're out.
Might work at City,Liverpool, Arsenal , but we're Blackpool.

You're not following. The point is, most would say Maxwell was the better player, but Grimshaw's form didn't justify being dropped.

Hence you saying "play your best eleven in a formation that suits and don't drop players who have earned the shirt" is contradictory.

I’d say Grimshaw is the better keeper, even though he’s still got plenty of development in him. He does try to take charge of the box, catching and punching, and his distribution is significantly better. I was initially concerned when Maxwell got injured, but after the first game and a half, the defence has looked more assured with Grimshaw behind them. Maxwell is though a good keeper.

Also, Maxwell should not be captain.

Putting the whose the better keeper argument to the side, I'd agree that Maxwell shouldn't be captain.

Different people have different opinions on the importance of a captain in a side, some think that it doesn't matter who the captain is and are happy for the players to draw lots, but if you believe that a captain is important, why on earth would you give the goalkeeper the job ?

You're missing the point, Grimshaw is currently in our best 11. Bringing Maxwell back on a day like yesterday, having not played for weeks was a massive mistake.
Mitchell hasn't earned the shirt, Dale hasn't and neither are in our best 11.

@rememberlesshannon if Keogh had been fit, would you have brought him back?

Husband our best XI but Husband had earned the shirt at CB.

Boiling complex situations into hard and fast rules is silly, especially when those rules can be contradictory to each other.

Yes I'd have brought Keogh back, but luckily Husband is versatile and his performances ( for me ) warrant him starting at left back, not being left out.
Unfortunately keeper is a specialised position, so I couldn't bring Maxwell back and start Grimshaw at centre forward.

Husband at left back gives us extra height at defending set pieces or even during play.

Phil is a Pool fan and wants us to do well, 62 years and counting is by far the worst poster on this board, an abusive old Cnut.
That was pretty abusive yourself really. Not that I dispute your initial point

I like to give credit when due as you know. I don't really do or get the whole abuse thing as it usually escalates until it makes the senses bleed.
Much rather go down the witty repartee route if I can. Much more fun and a bit less scarring. Just my opinion.

Sometimes right, sometimes wrong... Always certain.

Nowt up with Phil. He's often got a decent point and you lot love to rage on his threads.
