Oxford just need one more win

Think, by the time we play Barnsley, Oxford will have reached the playoffs. The Tykes should then dispose of Northampton at home on the final day, or get at least get a point, which might be enough, even should we win our last three (all 1-0, of course).
 
Trouble is I don't think we have the players to just go for it. Even if we did have a manager with some testicles, our forward line is really really poor.
 
Don’t think we can catch Oxford, they’ve got 2 home games this week and only need to win one
But Barnsley are away to Portsmouth on Tuesday and us on Saturday. Lose both of them and we take it to the final day
They’re at home to Northampton on the last day and would need to win to make sure

Barnsley have to goto Pompey on Tuesday and obviously you lot Saturday. I wonder if we can sneak past them, potentially someone still can sneak in... I really don't want you lot, with your f'in record... 😅

Under normal circumstances neyo you're quite right and you should all be shatting yourselves, but we are not feeling it this season at all and should we sneak into the last 6 Critchley won’t know how to manage it this time round. Who the fuck takes off a forward and brings a midfielder on against a relegated team to defend a 1 nil lead?🤷‍♂️

Enjoy the moment. Like I said to you last week that Bolton result has worked well for you when it could have gone the other way. Got everyone remembering you've been top six all season so don't let it go. A good galvaniser.

Lincoln have been on a hell of a good run so far and could get back on the horse but momentum is key and that's got be a kicker for them today with you next and you're bang at it.

We're just watching on whilst everyone else has a go at the shiny things. It's your turn, get in there in sixth and be a wrecking ball, get your own back on Bolton.
 
Haha appreciate it chaps - obviously buzzing at the moment. Absolutely would love to batter Bolton after that hammering as you said... if you can beat P'boro 5-0, you have it in you to beat any of the top 6 i'd say.

Only thing I'd say about you lot is... It might be drab, but you're GETTING results. So often we hear folks on MOTD say that's a sign of a good team...

When it's close on points it becomes about goal diff. And when you're trying to put a marker down for the teams above it's about giving them a bloody nose to show you're there like you've done today.

He brought off a forward who was doing nothing and moved a midfielder, Dembele, who was doing something up front, while putting Virtue into midfield. I do wonder what some of you are watching.

For me it's all about Barnsley
Yes they are 5 points ahead with +3 GD advantage
If they lose to Pompey away their GD will go down. If we beat them 1-0 it's +2 claimed back in our favour. Then we go to the last game and on paper their match at home is easier than Reading away, but their confidence would be shattered.
It is definitely clutching at straws, but totally possible.

Great chance near the end which their striker scuffed. Ref gave goal kick so not offside. To be fair the wind second half slightly favoured them. We could, should, have put it to bed first half. Three 1-0's on the bounce would indicate we're seeing games out but Carlisle are bottom for a reason. They're shocking.
 
Oxfords result yesterday was both surprising and disastrous for us. Was banking on them dropping points, now makes it very difficult for us but not impossible!

Absolutely. As you said, we should have had it buried by half time. Lavery missed a far bigger sitter than any of their players.

I don’t like to piss on your fire but Peterborough only gave you that game because they didn’t want to meet us in the playoffs
