I always think seasons age you .. the first part of the season seems a bit slow and laborious and I can't ever remember a time where we started a season top of the table for a long, sustained period of time. The League Cup is a nonsense and I think as we're a team of slow starters .. bar the drubbing of PNE .. the early part of the season takes some time to get in to. Agree though 12 games to go (and only 2 months of that) and I can't believe we're almost done.

We’ve had to be slow starters mainly due to the massive turnover of players.

Last season we built a brand new squad effectively. Took a while to gel.
This season we weren’t sure which players could cut this level so again quite a turnover of players in and out.

Now next season should be different. We know some players will go as they’re deemed surplus and I’m sure a couple will be sold to a higher level team but the vast majority of the squad will be the same. We’ve only really one loanee which is almost unheard of.
