Watched it tonight (again) .
A cinematic masterclass with phenomenal performances not only from the leads Nicholson and Fletcher but across the board.
Nearly 50 years old now (1975) and still a joy to watch, taking you through all kinds of emotion.
Flechers delivery as Nurse Ratched is chilling. Brad Dourifs first role as Billy Bibbit and he never bettered it.
Most of us oldies will have seen it, but anyone who hasn't has, imo, a gap in their lives which should be filled.
Always worth a re watch.

Yes so funny and great acting. Will have an other watch 👍 Nicholson was in his prime back then. Such a great actor.

Christopher Lloyd’s film debut.

Saw him in “Nobody” on Netflix last night.

All I can say is “Don’t Fcuk with grandpa”.

I saw One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest with Timbertops I think when it came out it is still one of the best movies I have ever seen and I remember sitting there stunned as the credits rolled.

Very good film but Nicholson's best ever performance IMO is in the lesser known and more subtle Five Easy Pieces.Check it out sometime.

That and what about bob are my two favourite films, brilliant film sorry i missed it did not know it was on Saturday 🥺.

Saw the film when on a course in Sarfend-on-sea
Fantastic film.
I remember that the cinema had wide, long staircase down going out.
Going down those stairs was very unusual. There was a deathly silence, no one spoke a word.
That would have been 1976.

Has it aged well? So often when I watch classics they really date badly and you feel disappointed.

It’s a great film, and makes Kesey’s story accessible to a wider audience.
I like the author’s Beat style, but it’s not for everyone.

My other favourite film is 'To kill a Mocking Bird'.
My favourite actor ever, is/was Gregory Peck.
Never gave a bad performance. Forget about Moby Dick, an awful film I thought.

...but who is everyone rooting for? Nurse Ratched with her cold and highly prejudicial application of the rules, or Randall McMurphy with his definitely disruptive antics? After the last few years, I'm not so sure whose side people are on.
