And me , directly behind the West Ham fans . Fun .I was in The Kop
Great pictures. Skin Cancer and global warming didn’t exist. This is a good article in Lancs Live today with a hell of a lot of pictures.

I was hoping to get picked.Which reminds me. You don't see people in the crowd in the programme with a circle round their head which entitled them to a prize any more. I thought about turning up at a game with my head in a large cardboard circle to increase my chances.
A few steps back and I'd have been on that photo.A great game to be at.

How on earth did that squad manage to get relegated ????
Billy CartmellHow on earth did that squad manage to get relegated ????
What did we do wrong to have such rotten owners [ until now ] foisted on us ?Billy Cartmell
EXACTLY. I'm almost 70 now, and it's sad that Billy Cartmell, then The Oystons, between them, have badly run my club for about half my life. What did we do wrong to have such rotten owners [ until now ] foisted on us ?
..and yet much that I despise them, we have had two of the most important events in our history under Cartmel's and Oystains stewardships.EXACTLY. I'm almost 70 now, and it's sad that Billy Cartmell, then The Oystons, between them, have badly run my club for about half my life.
Our immediate future looks secure, and even bright, under Simon Sadler's stewardship. UTMP
Catrmel sacked Alan Brown , the other owner well you can make your own mind up about him , far outweighs anything else...and yet much that I despise them, we have had two of the most important events in our history under Cartmel's and Oystains stewardships.
Hardy folk up on the scaffold.A

Not sure whether this has previously been posted….but this is an amazing view of a packed kop with the tower almost acting as a floodlight!
At home versus Hull City 10th aug 1968 . 2-0 Tom White scored at least one of the goals . The Kop does look full but in fact the crowd was about mid teens so not really. Pity not able to zoom in to see myself behind the goal !Not sure whether this has previously been posted….but this is an amazing view of a packed kop with the tower almost acting as a floodlight!
Isn’t that Newcastle utd away kit for next seasonThe first picture of the Arabs, 21st March 2004, taken at Cardiff before the game against Southend United when we beat them 2-0 ( Murphy & Coid) in the Football League Trophy Final.View attachment 11093

Cheers 66 , I could have a stab at the Arsenal team but that would be showing off......You're always good for this Fess. Thanks.
I was actually thinking more about the Arsenal team, Blackpool being further away in the photo, but I'm hopeless as far back as 63. I remember the likes of Frank McLintock and George Armstrong but I'm really struggling with this photo.Cheers 66 , I could have a stab at the Arsenal team but that would be showing off......
