O/T VPN help

Afternoon all. Can anyone recommend a good, cheap but safe VPN that they use? Seems a bit of a minefield when googling

For domestic use any of them are fine as they all do the same task. Choose one at a good price and easy to use.

From a hacking point of view a vpn lasts about 30 seconds against ethical hackers. However you’ve nothing to worry about as it’s more fun hacking treasury’s or banks.

As an aside, did you know that even with location services switched off on your phone it’s really easy to track your phone? The little buggars buzz at each other often over Bluetooth within a cell. Only way you can stop them is remove the battery. (And even then there might be a secondary power supply within although normally unlikely)

The joys of cyber land 😁

As a matter of interest if I was planning to do something untoward which I’m not would it be a good idea to get a cheap phone to swap my SIM card into when I’m doing this untoward thing which I’m not, then swapping the SIM card back into my original phone when I’ve committed the crime that I’m not going to do & destroying the cheap stand in phone which probably only cost me about £64, my mates been asking me but I’ve no idea as I’ve never done that kind of thing?

Cheers Chunky. I’m not going full ‘Jason Bourne’, it’s just for watching my favourite team when I work abroad. You’re right about mobiles though, you’re never alone!🤣

You get a better deal with Nord the longer the contract you take out. Two years is your best bet.Its £71 for two years but if you go through a cashback site like Quidco they are currently offering 90% cashback into your account if you purchase through their link.So you will pay your £71 upfront and because you purchased through Quidco's link it will register your purchase and they will send you 90% of the value of your £71 back in about six months time.So you will have to wait for your cashback to be paid later in the year.

So for two years it will cost you just over £7.

If you arent signed up to Quidco just register and make an account its free and then type NordVPN into the search bar.Click the relevant link which will take you to the official Nord website and you just go through the purchase stage from there.

Link here for Quidco

If you need any help just give me a shout on here im happy to help you through it if you need.

If you use chrome browser there are a couple of free vpn browser extensions you can use. I’ve been using quad vpn for a couple of years it’s £5 a month very simple to use, customer service is very good and reply quickly to your email enquiries. It has my endorsement and I’m a qualified network engineer.

Lol. Depends what goal you are trying to achieve. You can track via the sim IMEI number regardless of the device it sits in.
If you want to phone someone from a different number then yeah burner phones work well. It depends how early tracking of you begins and the method they employ.

One trick is some apps scrape the sim data on your first use and this can be followed.

Actually the best deterrent to not getting caught is the fact that the police and Cheltenham lot have severely limited resources these days. So if you fancy a life of crime or cyber terrorism, convince Liz Truss to come back and shaft the economy once more 👍

I’m pretty sure the coats at gchq have a lot more than we all think they have at their disposal. The mobile phone cloning software/equipment is available on the dark web at reasonable prices. You will need a good vpn and tor browser for having a look. You will be utterly gobsmacked at what’s available and for how much.

I had been with IPVanish for a couple of years and joined NORD in October with an unmissable offer.
I lasted a week and a half and claimed my 14-day money back with them and now back with IPVanish.
