Do they need a TV license if they use a television only for Netflix?
As long as they do not watch BBC tv on laptop/computer.I think groundsman covers it. As long as they dont have a tv aerial they should be fine.
Or presumably listen to 5 live, 6 music or a bbc radio channel on any deviceAs long as they do not watch BBC tv on laptop/computer.
Good luck with that one.. More importantly for anyone whose kids are looking to book student accommodation check what their covid cancellation policy is. If their course is cancelled or goes online you don’t want to pay for a room they can’t use
The vans famously had nothing in them anyway.I remember when someone in halls would get a phonecall from security to say the vans were coming onto the campus. The rumour would spread like wildfire and everyone would chuck their portable TV in the wardrobe. Suffice to say, the vans were never there. Once your daughter leaves halls and goes into a house share, the house will need a licence.
