O’Sullivan wins again

He's both the youngest and oldest player to have won the UK Championship, having won it for the first time aged 17 and for the eighth time 2 days before his 48th birthday.

What a player 👏 👏 👏

Not sure what you mean by no coverage? The final was on BBC2

Exactly BBC2 or Eurosport🤷🏿‍♂️

We are talking about the greatest snooker player of all time yet he gets no real coverage.

Unbelievable player. A quite unique record that I doubt will ever be matched. Well done young man 👏

Off the scales stuff, ridiculously good.

Lets make sure he wins Sports personality of the year 24.

Please no more Beth Meads who can’t lace his boots🙏

On one thread you have no mention of Ronnie to win, only a drool over Trump and Selby, what happened to them and how did you leave Ronnie the greatest snooker player out of the equation.
Not sure what you mean.

O’sullivan is the best ever.

Trump and Selby are granite and I thought one of them would win.

No way did I think O’sullivan would win.

I was wrong.

And I’m dead chuffed I was.

And if O’sullivan decided to convert to Islam then I would serious worry about his sanity

Three (3!) hours continuous TV on BBC2 planned this evening, 7 to 10pm. Why? Does the BBC think it’s a “sport” and counts toward their Sports Budget? It’s a parlour game played on a green baize table, FFS. Similar to Darts. Sack it off.

Fantastic performance from Ronnie... those last 3 frames were delightful to watch. The Prime documentary is good too - imagine being 17 and told your Dad (who you idolise) is going to prison for murder. What a player he has been these last... THIRTY (!!!) years. Hope he can get that 8th World title.

I watch a lot of Snooker, but not this time. Just a few games.
Ronnie O'Sullivan is the best ever.
People will argue that Joe Davies was the best.
Difficult to compare, the tables are better now, the balls are lighter and better.
I played in some local leagues many years ago.

AK it may not be your choice of sport but the viewing figures are in the millions.
The overall viewing figures for the World Championships this year was 25million, so there are a few people out there who like to watch the sport.
It is a game that requires a hell of a lot of ability and skill to get to the level these boys are at and for O’Sullivan to sustain such a high level of success over 30 years is up there with some of the best sporting achievements ever.
Yet he still hasn’t won sports personality of the year.

Ironically, he's a real personality as well.

Those last 3 frames were a genius in action. Not seen many sports people who can just take things up a notch beyond all other players when an opponent threatens to win. Federer in his prime was similar. I can't imagine another player coming along who can dominate for 3 decades and play so well with both hands. Beyond human.
