Anybody else watch this game ?Cracking cup tie to be honest I've no affiliation to either but wanted to see if Linfield could make Irish league History .
Eventually , after totally bossing most of the game , they took the lead in the first period of extra time .
Could and should have wrapped it up just before the end . RFS (Latvian in case you were wondering ) straight down the other end , last kick of the game , equalised via the cruelest of own goals .
Onto penalties ..4-2 to RHS and that was that . Irish footballing history has to wait a bit longer .
Some good positive attacking play by Linfield tho and , by all accounts, David Healy doing a cracking job as manager.

We played against RFS when they were Riga Skonto.

Yeah I watched extra time. Linfield have a 4 on one and fluff it then scored an own goal. RFS weren’t really in it from what I saw. They were lucky.

That will rank as the paltriest of consolations after the pelters you'll be getting after going full tilt gloat on duff info 🌞

Football in Ireland received a boost though with Shamrock Rovers qualifying for the Europa Conference League. Will be hoping to draw Wet Spam.
