I do intend to write a blog on the best Blackpool pubs because I'm always being asked for recommendations. Trouble(?) is there are new ones popping up all the time! Another two opened in recent weeks. Will start a draft post now so I don't forget...

Thanks Jane, that's great. A quality up to date Blackpool pub crawl is something that should garner much interest.

New pubs are opening and some closing everywhere, which provides the joy of updating, the job is never finished....

Have you done Leeds and Sheffield? Both have loads of good ale. Stoke, Macc and Buxton all good options too, I think. I have only dabbled with Buxton though, not sure how many good options there are.

Never really warmed to Leeds but know I need to give it a chance and do it properly. I have friends in Sheffield so have no excuses there - I don't visit often enough. Stoke, Macc and Buxton are interesting suggestions! Next on the agenda for me is Stalybridge on Saturday to watch Chase - three micropubs on the agenda. Can't wait for that.

I'm a big Kirkstall fan, that's enough reason to visit Leeds. But there is plenty more. Stalybridge could be good.

Stalybridge was epic. And not just for beer. I had one of the best meals I've ever had in my life. Blog to follow.

Potentially visiting Leeds for a gig in August. Watch this space.
