Where or how did this latest Branaghan story come out?
We know our own club do not leak info and it's not in our interests so how did it get out?
It is rumoured that QPR and Blackburn are interested so I wouldn't put it past Karl Robinson to want to trigger an auction, what do you think?

If we've met his release clause that won't trigger an auction for the player, other clubs would just have to meet the same price.

The only people who would benefit from any kind of auction are the player and his agent who could increase wage demands, signing on fee, agents fees etc if several clubs are interested and willing to meet his release clause.

That’s the worry due to this being released, other clubs with bigger budgets could come in.

Plus its bull we don't leak stuff, we do. Stuff comes out all the time.

The news will almost certainly have been leaked by his agent, it's what they do and will be to try and get the best deal possible for their client.
 
The buy out clause is exactly that. Oxford can only demand the buy out fee, whereas, if there are more parties involved, then Cam Bran can dictate the terms.
 
When I viewed the quotes from the rotund liverpudlian that was my immediate reaction
He has a real dislike for us and would rather brannigan went to Pyongyang fc than us
But surely his agent has already been on the phone to other clubs before we activated his release clause
We are blackpool and nothing is straightforward but I hope he signs ASAP

The Oxford Mail reported it this morning and James Corden at Oxford confirmed it. You would imagine that we triggered the release clause last night or yesterday afternoon for it to break so early this morning. Look to me like we are trying to get it tied up so he can play Saturday - I think you have to register a player by 12 noon on the Friday I think though might be wrong. JC at Oxford seems to thing he has gone “I’ll just smile and wish him look”

Wage demands, signing on fee, agents fees etc, that's an auction.and I can think of various other incentives that they entice player's with.
It should have been kept quiet.
