Did they know yesterday? I got a text from a pal saying Maxwell was in doubt for next 2 games, might have absolutely nothing to do with this news today

Not good news at all. How come the game is unaffected if loads of other teams games have been called off??

Putting a positive slant on it,
It gives us the chance to look at a keeper out of contract in the summer who might push Maxwell. We do not want to cancel games when on a decent run. All these cancellations will hurt teams in the run in.

Shig, I wondered similar initially. But I think Highfield makes a good point - the keepers would train together, at least some of the time. So Fot would have been as close to Max as anyone.

Just wish M & V a speedy recovery.

Seems we have had a lucky escape the squad was given those two days off otherwise they could have mingled with the rest of the squad and we'd be seeing our games postponed!

Scary how it can happen.

Didn't a Nob End player play the full 90 minutes for Eire vs England when he was unknowingly infected?

Not good news.
Maxwell is fundamental to the way we play and will be missed for his attacking instincts and distribution.
I wish both players a speedy recovery.
