United would have made it through the group stages if 37 year old Tom Heaton had played instead of Onana.

He's also shit at distribution for a #sweeperkeeper, and has weaker wrists than Oscar Wilde.

They had Henderson and Kovar as free options, or could have gone for Donnarumma, Diogo Costa or even Pickford/Raya type signings for similar money.

Recent signings suggest that United have no recruitment strategy other than asking managers (Moyes: Fellaini) (Ten Hag: Amrabat, Onana, Anthony, FDJ, Martinez) who they know.

I've always had a soft spot for Utd due to being born in Warrington and playing against a few of their (primary) youth teams but fuck me it's been challenging since Fergie retired.
