He wasn't getting a sniff before his dad passed away Allez.Maybe give him time to get his head together???
I’m not sure that’s strictly true, he’s had a three full 90 minutes and a 45 and the chances are that the situation at home will have been up in the air for some time before his dad passed. He wasn't getting a sniff before his dad passed away Allez.
Or Joseph?Any news on Lyons?
Sounds biblicalOr Joseph?
Joseph and Gabriel both back in training…Or Joseph?
Even more biblicalJoseph and Gabriel both back in training…
Back for ChristmasJoseph and Gabriel both back in training…
Can score goals though. Maybe that's the problem.I’m more excited for the return of Gabriel than Lyons. Not saying Lyons is bad but he isn’t the world beater that people on here make him out to be.
I’d imagine he’d be up there as a regular starter once he’s feeling better and firing on all cylinders again. He’s still very young and it will have been a big blow at his age.He would be better getting a move away
He is only going to get a game in cup matches
It really isn’t, Critchleys mantra is total football where we dominate possession and win games of football, understandably after the car crash that was last season he hasn’t quite turned it completely around yet, but it is already infinitely better, at some point in the not too distant it will all click together, everyone will be match fit and up to speed, we will finish the season the best team in the league again I am sure.Lyons far too attacking for Critchley. Doesn’t possess the pure “meh” of a Connolly or Oakley-Boothe, which is key to our manager…
Sorry but total football where we dominate possession when was the last time the stats said we DOMINATE possession in any game. Stevenage at home the only game we’ve put a 90 minute performance inSorry but total football where we dominate possession when was the last time the stats said we DOMINATE possession in any game. We are afraid to go for it and worry far too much about the opposition
We’ve dominated possession in a number of games this season, but as @Hazi suggests, it’s a work in progress right now. We’re a team that was all over the place last season… 3 different managers, 3 different styles… Some players were low on confidence and we’ve brought new players in… That’s before we get onto changes at board level.Sorry but total football where we dominate possession when was the last time the stats said we DOMINATE possession in any game. Pretty certain that he'll leave in January, just my opinion, are we allowed opinions ?I’m not sure that’s strictly true, he’s had a three full 90 minutes and a 45 and the chances are that the situation at home will have been up in the air for some time before his dad passed.
I must admit I had kind of forgotten that had been involved to that extent early doors, but just checked out of interest.
Fact check: infinitely? It really isn’t, Critchleys mantra is total football where we dominate possession and win games of football, understandably after the car crash that was last season he hasn’t quite turned it completely around yet, but it is already infinitely better, at some point in the not too distant it will all click together, everyone will be match fit and up to speed, we will finish the season the best team in the league again I am sure.
You're allowed an opinion, but you said "he wasn't getting a sniff before his Dad Passed away...."Pretty certain that he'll leave in January, just my opinion, are we allowed opinions ?
Added to the fact his dad, who'd had a massive influence on his career, had been ill for some time. That hadn't come to light & obviously had an effect on Andy & explains his slightly below par start to this season. You're allowed an opinion, but you said "he wasn't getting a sniff before his Dad Passed away...."
That's not an opinion, it's a statement of fact and it's not correct.
He'd actually started three of the four opening games and also played a half in the fifth game just before his dad died. I'm not sure how you could ever describe that as not getting a sniff, but maybe you can explain what you mean?
start Lyons tonight !There's a shocking lack of empathy and ability to understand what might be affecting Lyons at the moment, from some people. At a very young age he's lost his father and mentor, and will have been grieving. It is a traumatic experience for a lot of people and it can affect performance significantly. When my parents died I had to go back in the classroom without time off and it wasn't easy and I struggled for a while. If teaching was a squad game I wouldn't have made the bench. But I gradually got back up to speed. It's unfortunate but football is not even slightly important. He'll be back in the groove in the coming weeks I'm sure.
It wasn't a statement of fact at all, it's how I remember his lack of appearances this season. Note to self; must do better in researching absolutely everything that is posted on here just so that I can have the last word. You're allowed an opinion, but you said "he wasn't getting a sniff before his Dad Passed away...."

Crikey, don’t get so hung up about it ffs. Of course you stated it as a fact (what else could it be?).It wasn't a statement of fact at all, it's how I remember his lack of appearances this season. Lyons is fit and ready to play and has been since the Derby game.Crikey, don’t get so hung up about it ffs. Of course you stated it as a fact (what else could it be?).
If I said “CJ Hamilton has barely featured all season”
Would that be my ‘opinion’ or would it be me getting my facts wrong ?
As I said originally, I’d forgotten myself he had played so much, until I checked. Now that we both know the facts, surely that’s a good thing isn’t it?
We now know that Lyon’s was getting a look in (in fact he was clearly first choice) and therefore there’s no reason why he’d be looking elsewhere… In fact I’d imagine he feels a debt of loyalty, given how understanding the Club has been at this difficult time
Andy Lyons suffered a serious clash of heads in the Central League game against Preston North End, late September. He was on the bench recently vs Cheltenham and I'd expect to see him gradually introduced by Critchley once he's fully up to speed.Lyons is fit and ready to play and has been since the Derby game.
Lyons is fit and ready to play and has been for a while. Obviously, he lost his place when he went back home, but since he has returned he has been ready.Andy Lyons suffered a serious clash of heads in the Central League game against Preston North End, late September. Yep... Like I said, he suffered a clash of heads and so there would have been precautionary measures for a couple of weeks. Whether fit or nay, his performances in training and any behind closed doors / development games will determine whether he is ready to play first team football again. He's now in the situation of needing to earn his place, just like anyone else... It's not a given.Lyons is fit and ready to play and has been for a while. Is that a fact or your opinion ? You’ ve got to be careful on here. Stay safeLyons is fit and ready to play and has been for a while. Obviously, he lost his place when he went back home, but since he has returned he has been ready.
You don't have to be careful at all... Stop behaving like a baby ffsIs that a fact or your opinion ? You’ ve got to be careful on here. Stay safe

Hmm I'm not so sure it is fact...Fact
He's fit and available to play in the opinion of the person in question.Hmm I'm not so sure it is fact...
If you wanted to be factual, then you'd probably have been better saying "He's available for selection". Saying he's "Fit and ready to play" wanders into the realm of opinion really, because other's (including the manager) might feel that he's not yet fit and ready.
Happy to help you chaps to separate the Fact, the Opinion and the Fiction
Then he should start...at R(W)B.He's fit and available to play in the opinion of the person in question.
OK... So he thinks he's fit and ready to play then.... That's good news... Now he just needs to convince the manager thenHe's fit and available to play in the opinion of the person in question.
I’m more excited for the return of Gabriel than Lyons. Not saying Lyons is bad but he isn’t the world beater that people on here make him out to be.
I think Lyons is Championship standard. That's what he showed last year. If Critchley doesn't want to use him it would reflect more on him than the player.Lyons far too attacking for Critchley. Doesn’t possess the pure “meh” of a Connolly or Oakley-Boothe, which is key to our manager…
That's RUBBISH mate. We dominate possession fully when the ball is in our half, it's just when we get over the half way line......Sorry but total football where we dominate possession when was the last time the stats said we DOMINATE possession in any game.
