League One Form Table

Nicely in a Play Off place - interesting where Burton's form has suddenly come from and Charlton have been improving under Crappleton.

The promising thing for me is having one of the highest goal returns - something which was our main achilles heel earlier in the season.

Such a shame about that Derby defeat - turn that in to a win and those last 6 games would have been strong.
Draws against Charlton and Oxford away I'd have taken every day and 14 from 18 would have been a good return and put us joint 3rd.
Our away form still letting us down.

Draw at Oxford was a great result after 70mins and I know it's been said had we played like we did in the last 15 for longer we would have won, but there are reason why we played that way in the end, not least Oxford protecting the lead a bit.

The one that annoys is not Derby but Charlton. To be 2-0 up and not see the game out was criminal. I think that the reasons why could stop a play off push.

My sums might be out, but I think by Saturday night, Pool will have completed 15 games in the League, 9 of which will have been played at home. In view of the fact that Pool have won 3 of their last 19 away games, I might suggest that we are in a false position at this time. I suppose if we win the next two ( Pool don’t do Tues/Sat wins….ever), it will look even better, the the away games have to played at some time.

Has anyone noticed Rock bottom Burton Albion!
Now in the top half.
Notice that Exeter and Port Vale early form has dropped off.
Very surprised to see Burton just below us in the actual league table. Assumed they'd be right down there after the opening day as they didn't look great and their results straight after were similar. Great turn around from them.

Derby's run of results after they beat us have been very poor as well, typical they beat us amongst their run of form because they weren't doing too great prior to that game either! Think they're finding themselves in a Sunderland situation, the longer you stay in League One the more difficult it becomes to get out - their fans are starting to get impatient as well due to expectation's of getting out the league, makes it even more difficult.

Burton had made some good signings but were ravaged by injury early doors. They have a small squad which made life tougher as well - as an example Cole Stockton is only just back and on the bench, has only played at Blackpool in the league all season.

19 away games takes us to the cluster fuck of last season
This season different players different league, we have taken time to settle but doing ok.
Playing away, teams will not park the bus
So may actually be beneficial.

I remember on the INO Podcast the lad from Exeter saying everything was 100% right this season and they had a side which looked like it would do great things. I actually thought a 0-0 draw was a pretty decent result but no wins in six would indicate otherwise!
