Keir Starmer and Angela Rayner v Miz-Trust and Coffey Mate

She's not liked by you I'd never heard of until the other day and it was reported she was respected by all parties in parliament.
I know exactly who she is and I know plenty of people who have worked for her. You admit you've never heard of her. I'll stick with my judgement and not something I've read in the papers.

Of course, and you seem to be defending Ms Rayner like crazy whilst ignoring the fact that the thread's OP is a personal attack on two other women.
In case it's difficult for you to wrap your head around.

Criticising/attacking politicians you think are bad: fine.

Criticising/attacking politicians based on their appearance or education/social class: not fine.

I'm glad you've puckered up the courage to reply to my posts now with this weak gotcha attempt. Good to see you back after running away when you tried to say none of Labour's deficit went in bailing out the banks. You must be mortified at this lot.

Back to the usual stream of abuse I see.

I think there are plenty of people just like you yes. Usually southerners you hear them at away days singing things like 'we pay your benefits'. Think they are better than anyone not of the same breed.

Yeah Londoners who vote Labour sing that😜
Seems you missed replying to this Trammo post whereas you've no problem replying to most of the others. Perhaps Trammo's point about London being a Labour stronghold doesn't fit into your agenda of your post having a go at southerners.

I think it's a shame if it's Labour voters and a shame that working class people do it to each other. Plenty of people on this board (albiet a bit tongue in cheek) will call Liverpool bindippers etc. As the rich get richer they watch the working people mock each other over who has more share of the crumbs than the other. If you will re-read my post, and I invite Trammo too, I never brought up Tory/Labour. I find it interesting the rush to defense however.

This is the problem. I say "you shouldn't mock someone for dragging themselves from nothing despite not being educated" and generally espouse the view that snobbery about social class is bad, and all you can see is Labour v Tory, attacking me because you presume I'm just saying it because you think I'm a Labour member, I guess.

It's less embarrassing to say you're a fan of Jimmy Savile (who was a Tory) than the Tories at the minute.

not attacking you at all, just making the point. You brought the football angle into it which I think was a bit naive of you to do. Let's face it, football is about tribalism and you have plenty of southern clubs who can't abide each other. Banter or whatever you want to call it by football chants has been going on for decades. It's really not about the politics.

Sure, I still think it's pretty gross. But it's whatever. My point was at no point do I think TJJ is the only person who looks down his nose at someone growing up not of the right 'social class' and that doesn't make it better.

I met Lisa Nandy quite recently in Darlington - I liked her on first meeting.

She knew her brief, was happy to be questioned.

I've never met Angela Raynor; but I'm not sure calling anyone 'scum' is helpful and contributes to a 'kinder politics' we were told we'd get in the light of the murders of Jo Cox and David Amess.

Language matters; it always matters; but it matters more when you have a public facing responsibility.

And she's learnt from that, I'm sure. There's a good politician in there who needs to wise-up to the protocols.

How did Kwarteng get the Chancellor job? Did he send in 12 zoom ice lolly wrappers. Totally unqualified for the position.

I hope so.

I quite like politicians who aren't bland, call a spade a spade and who have a bit of something about them - even if I disagree with them.

She doesn't need to become as polished as Peter Mandelson; John Prescott did alright and survived giving a fella a left hook (rightly!) She needs to use a vocabulary which won't cause unintended harm or be used as an excuse to cause harm. The baying and intimidation of Rees-Mogg and his family puts us into dangerous territory in my opinion.

No contest alright, one with no charisma and one with no education. Well maybe that's unfair. She did get a NVQ Level 2 in social care at Stockport Tech. What was it she said? "We cannot get any worse than a bunch of scum, homophobic, racist, misogynistic, absolute pile... of banana republic... Etonian... piece of scum" A perfect example of why unqualified trade union officials should never be allowed into politics.
You may not approve of a politician using such language. That is your prerogative. But, at least she was telling the truth, unlike the lying cheating former Prime Minister!

I'm not sure you have a grasp of this debating thing. The idea is that someone posts an opinion and the respondent either agrees with it or disagrees and gives reasons why. Your posts seem to just involve abusing other posters.

I don't think there are two sides to classism. It's bad and I'll happily tell you so.

Classism works both ways... there is few on here need reminding of that!
Bear in mind that so long as we have budgets that benefit banks more than they benefit babies and that reward the rich over the poor, then class war is alive and kicking. But, whilst it is traditionally a term levelled at the left – typically when arguing for radical things such as housing or food – it is clearer than ever that it is the Tories who wage it.

A Sheffield Tory supporter has posted you can get a kilo of oats for 70p and that would make 20 meals, so can't understand the fuss over food costs.

You'd be in hospital with scurvy, so look on the bright side, no food or heating bills for you there.

I love all the sniffiness about Rayner being a bit common and / or uncouth.

After all, having a government stuffed full of ex-public schoolboys has really gone well, hasn't it?
Some people love being gaslighted by ex public schoolboys though, which is exactly what the Tories are trying again right now.

Johnson labelled gay people as tank top wearing bum boys, black people as picaninnies and muslim women as letter boxes but let's focus on Rayner. Deflect, deflect, deflect

Oi Tory voters, the government are taking the piss out of you, they couldn't give a flying fuck about you, can't believe their luck that you're still going along with this charade. But you just love to hang on in there desperately trying to justify your allegiance by taking low shots at the other side.

Angela Rayner isn't the problem, it's you enabling fuckers.

Further up this thread it has been pointed out, quite rightly, that AR should be judged on her abilities not her perceived class, appearance or education.
Is it therefore not equally wrong to judge those who have been born into a different class and education system on that alone, as plenty on here do?
As to your post... my opinion... if a new leader is put in place mid term and radically alters the course of government travel ... a GE should take place to give the “ new government” a mandate from the people.
