Julian Winter Interview

There is one in the preview show also but I would imagine if you listen to either the same it will be basically the same.

Comes across very well and genuine not like look at me BBM who crossed the line massively with SS when he allowed that ridiculous interview with fans after the Nobbers away game!

Good interview.

Be interesting to catch up with him again when he's settled in and has a better grasp of the big projects.

I just want the CEO to be pretty anonymous.
Get on with the job. Make sure all elements of the club off and on are doing their jobs to the best of their ability, and ensure the owner stays motivated.
can't disagree with those sentiments. however, i was pretty impressed with how he came across tbh.

it was interesting to hear how he thought he would fit with SS in particular, which is massive in the grand scheme of things.

my big take on it though was his clear understanding of the need for joined-up thinking (alignment?) and how important that is for a football club that wants to be progressive on and off the pitch whilst being at the heart of the community at the same time.

seems to me that he's a football man in every sense of the word - the swans' fans group certainly thought so.

Really good interview, I really liked what he had to say and his vibe. Much better than BB, I am really thinking SS has got his act together and it's really good to see.

Oh and Wiz, surely this guy should be made honorary president of Yarkshire Seasiders.

Joking apart I have 2 thoughts upon Julian's interview.

1) I really liked his answer to the question about the "past". I would hazard a guess 9 out of 10 new CEOs would have answered that they are only interested in the future. I really liked his response that he "did" want to know about the past as it gives "context" going forward. Excellent answer. I wanted him to say yes and he did.

2) People slag off Radio Lancashire (Radio Blackburn blah blah blah) but these interviews are gold for fans. No other media outlet gets them. Maybe people should be a little more grateful in respect that we get in depth interviews with very good questions from a BBC station run on a shoestring and always with rumours of shutting down.

Also interesting to add that all the extra time now being added to games without any consultation with clubs amounts to approximately 7 games extra per season. I was actually thinking about that this morning watching the women's world cup.

Think we should definitely adopt the phrase ‘rah rah bit’ to describe Critch’s North Stand fist pumps

Came across well overall. Obviously lots of experience in different parts of the game. Seemed measured, methodical, realistic, not going to stick arbitrary targets on things that will be held against him later.

Good interview . Measured serious professional .

Note the comments re BM but Julian does acknowledge how well the club is structured and the improvements in infrastructure etc in his interviews with TTV as well .

I appreciate BM wasnt everyone’s cup of tea and understand the reasons why but he played a major part in getting the club to where it’s at off the pitch and putting those structures in place . When he came in the club was in a complete mess due to the O’s. As SS stated at the recent structured dialogue meeting when he took over there was nothing.

Like Julian though . Onwards and upwards hopefully .
