It may well be due to him signing from Swansea, it will mean we require international clearance. That said it has been over a week, so wouldn't see that being an issue now. Possibly he's just a little behind in terms of preseason, so not being risked. I'd expect to see him get some minutes against Morecambe and Hibs.

Didn't know that an England born lad who plays for a team in an English league you had to get international clearance.😲
 
After last season I think we maybe need to be a little more circumspect with the players physical well being.
Half the squad ended up with hammy injuries and often after returning back too soon from the first injury.
 
I think the club know that if they announce that our new striker is injured the groans will be deafening…..it’s a touchy subject.
 
If this is true how on earth has it happened? Surely it must have been after the transfer was all sorted?
We really have had a truly miserable time with injuries. Unbelievable really.

Can’t be arsed with the same level of injuries this season.
 
If he has indeed fractured a hip that is very bad news for our prospects and sad for the player. Let`s hope for good news.
 
Perhaps the club should clarify the situation. After all it's either right or wrong and it's not as if it's a nuclear secret they're passing on.

Why should the club clarify any old bollocks posted on here and I'm the one who wrote it, could be utter boobins for all I know just passing on what I was told.

Agree, what’s the problem with telling their customers, what the problem is. They must know there’s speculation out there about why he hasn’t featured pre season, so just tell us.

The club don't tell us, "Why aren't the club telling us anything? We are the customer's."
The club tell us he's injured, "Why are we constantly buying injured players, it's disgusting."
The club can't win on this one unfortunately, they're gonna get stick either way.

They'll only get stick if they've got something to hide! They're not going to say 'the deal to sign Joseph took longer than expected as we were waiting for him to get a long term injury before we could conclude. The Club has a reputation to uphold'.

I can't understand why they wouldn't give general pre-season updates which obviously would include news on the player.
 
I thought the club’s official line was a tight hamstring and didn’t want to take a chance🤔 Fractured hip 😫sounds like a wind up merchant to me. Not getting worried and expect him to get some minutes in before the Burton game. Don’t believe everything someone tells you especially on the site 🤣
