Love Yates! Just Wished we could get more balls up to him!
Someone's had a bit of a free afternoon. Wonder how many of 62's pearls of despondency will come back to bite his arse at the end of the seasonI can't remember the Eoin Doyle comment, but here are a few pearls of wisdom from him. It's almost as if, if you give players a few games, they might come good...

Not every signing works out for different reasons obviously, and not always just because of football. Having to relocate but not settling etc. But we've had a few on the boil like that now where the club have decided to invest a transfer fee and a long contract (at a time where we're being told how expensive it all is to run, even though nobody demanded it). So I'd expect the responsibility to fall on whoever sourced the player, and agreed to coach him, to show us a bit more vision and a plan than that. Maybe a loan out next season when the fixture situation is easier but with a view to returning to the first team.I know this isn't a Bez thread, so apologies, but I feel his ship has sailed here.
I don't think he was treated particularly fairly, rarely getting much of a chance, yet offering very little when an opportunity did come his way.
I can see him being loaned out early next season and then we'll never see him again, which is a shame; he will be another casualty of the transfer window where we signed a load of similar players, none of which had a set position to work on and improve.
Having said all that, I genuinely hope I'm wrong and he's able to force his way back in to contention and make an impact.
Dull Mull is back. I'm not afraid to admit that after a poor first couple of months he's improved adding goals to his workrate.Someone's had a bit of a free afternoon. Wonder how many of 62's pearls of despondency will come back to bite his arse at the end of the season
I hope so, he seemed like one of the more exciting signings at the time and from the clips we saw of him at Crawley he looked to have a lot of ability. Not every signing works out for different reasons obviously, and not always just because of football. He played the same role at Crawley but had more freedom to link up with the front two and try allsorts, knowing not all of it would come off. Their first team is their shop window and they take on released lads from other clubs higher up the EFL. So it's in their interests to let their attacking players show themselves. Then just sell them at the first sign of any interest.I hope so, he seemed like one of the more exciting signings at the time and from the clips we saw of him at Crawley he looked to have a lot of ability.
I always thought if he'd been bought by a team with a settled side and given a defined role he would have been a decent signing once he was up to speed. Since his arrival here it seems like he's never been given more than a token start amongst fleeting sub appearances.
And then he just vanishes.
Spot on.I know this isn't a Bez thread, so apologies, but I feel his ship has sailed here.

Am currently reading a book called Nowhere men. All about football scouts. Very interesting to see the speculative fees paid for the next best thing and then to see where they are now . Seemingly we had a guy here on loan called Islam Feruz . ( Nope I'd not heard of him either) Snapped up by Chelsea as a teenager , family housed in London and on a reported £10.000 a month . Now selling designer caps for a living. My point being that more speculative signings fall by the wayside than make it . Wrong time , place, face doesn't fit , injury Whatever . I'd still like to think that Bez will make it and , ideally, with usNot every signing works out for different reasons obviously, and not always just because of football. I think there’s a player in there, and it will probably emerge next year. If we do go up then I agree his ship has probably sailed though.I know this isn't a Bez thread, so apologies, but I feel his ship has sailed here.

I'd like to see one of them even hit the target with no keeper in net...let alone when the pressure is on.You'll get some on here saying it's not really 12 he's scored this season because some of the goals are penalties!!
I really hope so.I think there’s a player in there, and it will probably emerge next year. If we do go up then I agree his ship has probably sailed though.
