Clarke Harris is not available on a freeNo one came in for Clarke-Harris at Peterborough and he's now available on a free 12 months later, I think Jerry is on a longer contract but we won't to miss out on a return on the investment.
Personally think anything around £3m will tempt us.
Is he just up for sale?.Clarke Harris is not available on a free
Yes. One year left on his contract. I can see Derby or someone of that ilk snapping him up.Is he just up for sale?.
apparently any player P'boro player entering the final year of their contract is available for transfer. It doesn't mean they will go and imo JCH is well out of our price bracket. Is he just up for sale?.
It’s not a bargain. He scored 7 in 5 during 3 weeks in October apart from that anomaly he was bang average and only scored 11 in open play plus 7 last season. £4m is good business.£4 million is a bargain.
I believe we’re looking at Norburn once again. The price is much less than 12 months agoapparently any player P'boro player entering the final year of their contract is available for transfer. It doesn't mean they will go and imo JCH is well out of our price bracket.
Disagree, the setup didn’t help him at all, he’s a quality striker which is why more than one club is after him. It’s not a bargain. He scored 7 in 5 during 3 weeks in October apart from that anomaly he was bang average and only scored 11 in open play plus 7 last season. £4m is good business.
yeh bang average because Appleton played him as a defensive left sided player expected to cover for the full back. It’s not a bargain. He scored 7 in 5 during 3 weeks in October apart from that anomaly he was bang average and only scored 11 in open play plus 7 last season. £4m is good business.
Last year’s excuse is ????yeh bang average because Appleton played him as a defensive left sided player expected to cover for the full back.
That’s fair enough. Except they won’t want himAt least £6 million if Luton want him.
So that's not a valid reason then? Find it hard to comprehend that you want to criticise a player who physically gives his all for the team, is a firm fans favourite, deservedly the player of the year and a pretty good goalscorer too.Last year’s excuse is ????
Plus does great defensive workSo that's not a valid reason then? Find it hard to comprehend that you want to criticise a player who physically gives his all for the team, is a firm fans favourite, deservedly the player of the year and a pretty good goalscorer too.
Appleton was manager last year.Last year’s excuse is ????
I take all that on board but we’re talking about his value. I’m saying that £4m is a fair price and funds six players for us next season. I’m not sentimental about players. Just realistic. He’s overrated in my opinion as a striker. So that's not a valid reason then? Have to agree. If we get 4M I would begrudgingly accept that aslong as its reinvested in the squad.I take all that on board but we’re talking about his value. We must swim in our lane...oh, he's gone hasn't he. Sod that then! When he does go and he will, then we must go to battle with an £7million warchest and improve all over the park..if we spend peanuts again then we really are in trouble as a club
Should be 4million plus add ons minimumIf he goes for 4 or 5 million I hope the club don’t allow payment to be split into bits on the never never….we need a good solid chunk of money to do our rebuilding……

I don’t think that was quite the reaction Crichley got. When Critchley buggered off to put Stevies cones out for a vastly improved remuneration, most on here said they didn’t blame him and they would do the same. Even though I don’t want to lose Jerry, surely he can’t be begrudged the same opportunity?
Peterborough promised him they would allow him to move back up north before he did his ACL so I assume it’s probably a ‘nominal fee’ scenario - Critch is a big fan and he is a bloody good player at this level. He was coming in Jan 21 it fell through so no suprise were back in for himSource
It was from a lot of his excuse makers.I don’t think that was quite the reaction Crichley got.
It’s beyond laughable to be honestWe've got a lot of in the know posters on this thread. Simon must find out who's leaking all this information regarding wages and potential targets. It's laughable.
Are you confident we will get those players, we haven't even got a recruitment guy yet, or a CEO or any other board member. You gave me pelters on here when I was criticising Sadler, but for me, on he football side of things, not the infrastructure, he is leaving a lot to be desired and this pre-season supporters will be watching carefully to see how things unfold. For me £4m is “breaking point”
£5m he’s “yours” wouldn’t like any less but £4m offer would make me start “considering”.
Anything less than £4m NO!!……I hope SS will give Critch at least the start of the season with Jerry.
Anyway we will have to see!
I hope Critch already has some ideas of “targets”.
We need to replace Madine anyway so we should be looking for at least one stricter NOW, plus a central defender and one if not two attacking hard tackling midfielders NOW!!!
