I think FDB and his agent are having a bit of fun, he may be OK in L1 but being linked to AC Milan seems a stretch. My suspicion is he'll use any interest to sign a new deal with Wednesday.

That wouldn't surprise me, if we can recoup the fee we paid, we'd be daft not to let the lad go. I suspect we will need every penny for the key signings we absolutely need to make.

Why?

He's 24 in March, so he'll qualify for a free in the summer, and a transfer from Scotland to England is the same from FIFA's point of view as a transfer to Italy anyway.

Thx my wife keeps telling me I don’t know what day it is. Even if we do sign somebody this week I can’t see them being in the match day squad for Saturday. I was hoping we would have signed a strong physical defensive midfielder this week who would at least be in the squad for Saturday.

I don't think that's up to date, he's played 13 times this season in the German second division

Given we received a fee for Wright, I'd say very shrewd business so far, especially in a notoriously difficult transfer window.

I don’t think we are this time. I’m told that there genuinely is a clearer strategy now and Chris Badlan is very good at his job.
