You clearly assert that Italy have a technically superior side to England yet where were they in the 2018 world cup and where will they be in the world cup later this year. They could not get through a group with Switzerland and Northern Ireland and they could certainly not beat the mighty North Macedonia ranked 67 in the world. Just to remind you that England qualified comfortably from their group and will be at the world cup. Bonnuci and Chiellini where indeed world class in their day but are well in their 30s and should have been put under far more pressure by the likes of Kane, Stirling and Mount. There were other players on the bench such as Grealish and Sancho who was then considered one of the best players in the Bundesliga to probe the italian defence. Southgate instead chose to sit back for long periods absorbing immense pressure when instead he had players who could really hurt the opposition. He neither had the nous or the courage.

Go on then who was the best team of the tournament even before the final?
If you say anyone else than Italy sorry you don't have a scooby so you can single out players or age of them but on paper the best team of players was Belgium which they beat.

poolseasider i have come on the board to express my opinion and that is what i have done an entitlement i share with many others. I think the best technical team in the tournament where France. I think there where a number of teams better than italy including England. If that does not concur with your view then frankly i do not care, it is only an opinion.
