Interview with Simon Sadler after the 6pm news on Radio Lancs tonight (Tuesday).

No offence but what would he be lying about ?

We’ll get the angry mob asking for a lie detector test through the interview next.

Don’t deep it so much I say.
He could have been lying about wanting to keep the club which persistent rumors have suggested might be the case.

He looks well and for the most part was forthright. A liar blinks more than the norm and he was just fine. Watch the point where he does break eye contact. Interviewer was doing a good job. Cameraman should have composed his shot better. Background not good enough. Light reflecting in Sadler’s glasses should have used a ring light or lit more to the side, and mic cord should have been in Sadler’s sweater. Sloppy ass work and the pr person charged with looking after Sadler and club should have gotten that fixed before the interview started.
To be fair Simon looks like he's the equivalent of a Zoom call albeit with a Radio Lancs mic - it's never going to be TV studio quality video

We should probably go off his actions and words, until he gives us reason to not believe them, rather than people looking for subtle hints and 'tells'.
I feel a bit for Sadler because he has to be patient and every decision he makes is a costly one. You don’t want a rash leader with low emotional intelligence. That said a little more communication wouldn’t go amiss because to his customers some fires are burning and no one is putting them out. Whilst not being able to always give timely answers it is possible to say I hear you and I feel your pain.

I think that's the other way around.
Eh?

You're one of the only ones who sees things that aren't there about SS, usually after a defeat. I'm trusting what he's done and until he let's us down, that won't change. Big projects take time and are with councils. The SG TG, pitch, squad, accounts etc speak for themselves.

I watched through clip closely with the warm eye filter off on my phone and brightness up and he doesn't change, just the angle of his face. Yet more nonesense from you on SS.

Where's the beetroot?

Maybe we should just support the owner until such time as he puts his own interests above the clubs.
To me he is nothing like the Oystons, he can make plenty of money without BFC whereas for the Oystons BFC became there only asset that they could get significant income from.
Liklihood is BFC costs Sadler money.
Doesn't mean he can't be subjected to constructive criticism, Appleton and particularly McCarthy were terrible decisions and I'm guessing he ultimately signed them off.
Jury is out on Critchley but I could see the sense in it, I just haven't seen the sense in some of Critchleys game by game decisions but that is detail that Sadler won't immediately get involved in.
Ultimately if his intentions are good and put the club first in a financially viable way that's fine, and if a well intentioned billionaire Blackpool fan approaches him to take over sounds like he is good with that.
So I'd say don't go looking for problems that aren't there and just try to give constructive criticism alongside enthusiastic support.

Where's the beetroot?

I think you're making a mountain out of a mole hill. it was a question he clearly wasn't expecting and he was uncomfortable with it, as I expect anyone would be and I thought he looked to go red. Nothing to do with him owning the club. I'll wait to hear the whole interview before I comment on what was said but I'm sure Byas won't have given him an easy time.

My only real problem with him is his choice of managers, I haven't complained about the off field stuff.

@Insider .......
I'm going to say the zip up is a Brunello Cucinelli as it looks like one of their zips and the wide shoulder seam is their signature designs.
The brand is massive in Asia.

At least he's not wearing a fluorescent Stone Island jumper from Fleetwood market or a Slazenger polo top....Just a bit of class from Simon
Or a plastic sports bag across his man boobs like someone I could mention!

You said he went beetroot red, which made you chuckle, so I thought I better watch again as i missed that, he didn't so it's what you wanted to see.

Did he expect that question, probably not. He looked a little puzzled by it, probably as he's stated many times, then time passes and another rumour comes around and a few people think it all over again.

It's good he'll be getting interesting questions and I'm sure a man of his calibre isn't that phased by them.

You've come out with some absolutely wild things about him many times, based on absolutely nothing but a feeling.

I wish he didn’t have to answer silly questions because of a minority of bullshitters. He’s always been crystal clear on his commitment to the club, it must be tiresome having to repeat the same point.
He has customers so it goes with the territory. It’s not a big pull on his time. Gap between words and actions so an interview is appropriate enabling everyone to be pulling in the same direction.

Having to answer bullshit that people write on the internet shouldn’t come with the territory. He gave exactly the same answer he’s given in another interview so we gained no further information. It was a poor question and a waste of everyone’s time.

No chance of selling, only last March he had a ten year plan, pumping millions into the club,I know this because Simon said I’ve got all the figures, remember Simon what you said.

He needs to wear different clothes for which area of the ground he's trying to win over, Stone Island and CP Company for the North obviously, 5 layers of Peter Storm fleeces with soup stains down the front for the West and a mix of mid tier walking brands for the South, Berghaus or Rabb mainly, nothing from the technical ranges though with the odd avant-garde weirdo wearing Montane

But it just doesn't matter at all unless you're obsessive in a slightly mad kind of way, in my opinion. I doubt Putin's involved, somehow. It was recorded for a radio programme.
You just watched not listened to video . You control your brand and image. You don’t understand that and that is ok.

I haven't made any wild comments about him, I have an opinion and it's generally good but he isn't fallible so he shouldn't just get a clear path with no criticism.

Part of his job. In marketing you know you have to repeat to make an impression and hopefully create a sale.

I’m feeling personally singled out here 😂

You've made loads, usually after a poor spell, saying he probably wants to sell or should, underestimated having the club and didn't consider the costs, doesnt have the fight, is an energy vampire etc etc. You had a feeling he wouldn't be right from the off.

Plus telling him to F off. Here's just one...

I don't think he comes over that well but it will be interesting to hear the full interview.
I still question his managerial appointments and whether there has been sufficient on field investment. All a matter of opinions but after 5 years under his ownership the club is back where it was in league 1.
