This is a good signing bit doesn't really surprise me. Budget wise we are currently top 6 L1 and bottom 6 championship so are likely to bounce around until the long-term plan comes together. We need some stability now and hopefully Critch can provide that.

Fiorini and Rogers would be good in league 1... but probably unattainable.

We do have Virtue who did well at the level and is more experienced now, Carey, Morgan who we signed, Dale, CJ.

Up top Yates, Lavery, Beesley is not bad.

It would be nice to add to or improve that though.

You also need players fighting for the shirt and giving a shit. Four loan players on their jollies potentially would impact that. If needs be for squad depth, then so be it but we should be buying permanent players first and foremost which thankfully we are. Don’t want a repeat of last season where you quickly lose a connection watching kids learning their trade at our expense.

If we can afford to buy, I agree. If we buy more than we loan each season, then it’s progress, and being short sighted is a plan, not a mistake. The higher up the pyramid you go, the less you need that externally sourced quality.
