IF WE DONT WIN NEXT WEEK

and Appleton keeps his job then I think the board are as culpable as him. You cannot continue to defend the indefensible. Make no mistake relegation will be an unmitigated disaster for the club and the repercussions will be enormous.
Can't but agree. What does Simon Sadler want? I believe Sadler's a fine chap who is being exposed by Mansford's failings. The Appleton deal is coming across as a complete failure- financially and in football terms. Sadler will be upset by this. He's not a professional football club owner. He's a fan who needs a good Board. No problems with Brett - He's a friend of Sadler. As for Mansford, he needs to prove himself and he needs to start with replacing Appleton.

We need to win 50% of our remaining games to have a chance of staying in this division. We have picked up 4 points from the last quarter of a season, which included a months break to sort things out after 4 defeats.

None of this ‘if we don’t win next week’ nonsense, why will next week be any different to the last 10 games? He needs going tonight or tomorrow morning to give a new manager a week to prepare for a must win game.

They already have to take plenty of the blame. Nobody wanted Appleton in the first place as he was a league one manager that had a bad history with the club. His dour personality has stripped the club of the fantastic atmosphere that we used to have, but we gave him a chance.

Then things went as we all feared. The board stuck with him after the Wigan game when it was clearly the right time to get rid. I think that was six games without a win. With the world cup break it would have been the ideal time to give a new man some time to work with the players. However, once again the board knew better. We are now ten games without a win. They need to swallow their pride and sack him now. We all make mistakes but they are doing themselves no favours by sticking with him for this long.

If Sadler cares about this club and I’am sure he does 101% he needs to act now because leaving everything to Bullshit Ben is only going to end is disaster.

I cannot for the life of me see him just sat there in Hong Kong not worrying about things going on at Bloomfield Road.

Sorry Simon but the appointment of old boys Grayson and Appleton have both been a disaster for this club so for Gods sake if/when we get rid of Appleton please please let someone with a bit more footballing knowledge make the decisions.

I hate using this expression but next week is a MUST WIN match and Appleton MUST BE GONE before Saturday.
Even by using Dobbie as Caretaker Manager we might get to see the best players in their best positions and subs at the first sign of trouble, not after the event.

As I have said if we dont win next week and he keeps his job then from that point on I blame the board for not acting...they have completely misjudged the room so far...I would say in excess of 90% of the fanbase want him out and he is NEVER going to recover from that

Quite a few teams in the bottom half of the league struggling for form not least us, but with 19 games to go we’ve got to start winning games starting next week as we can’t keep kicking the can down the road thinking we can pick up points here and there. It should have started yesterday but it didn’t for the glaring obvious and l could see the confidence being sucked out of the players yesterday and not for the first time in a formation they are not comfortable with. Whether Appy survives or not this season l doubt very much the relationship with the fans will.
