I think you're asking the wrong people Dave. Now that it's all over and Critch is in, how much will their be in the kitty(not a cat please) to spend on new players?
We are obviously short in quite a few areas, so how much Critch get to build a decent team?
You're right Voy, but you know that there people on here who THINK they know everything.I think you're asking the wrong people Dave.
We have 5 players who have returned from L1 loans, and some have done well. Now that it's all over and Critch is in, how much will their be in the kitty(not a cat please) to spend on new players?

Thats one thing Critchley is good at finding. The loans will be critical, as will the places we do our shopping.
I think the Critchley money was inc in last years accounts…reducing the losses.£2m from Villa for Critchley, a good chunk from Forest for Bowler, and likely an even bigger one for Yates, allowing for add-ons I'd guess there's £5m or so that could be spent, although Saddler might want to use that to defray some of the lost income from coming down to L1.
How much we spend will depend upon who we can get on frees, but the real limiting factor will be wages, so there's a practical per-player limit of about £500,000, we might well see a few of those.
Which one Simonized: The loans or the shops?Thats one thing Critchley is good at finding.
I think we will have comparably one of the largest budgets in league one. We have decent gates, recent Championship money and influx of cash from Critch, Bowler and Jerry (pending).I think the Critchley money was inc in last years accounts…reducing the losses.
We might have some left from the Bowler sale if it’s not already been swallowed up, so I doubt we have a big transfer fund at all.
I agree with your 2nd paragraph but not the first…I think we will have comparably one of the largest budgets in league one. We have decent gates, recent Championship money and influx of cash from Critch, Bowler and Jerry (pending).
Simon hasn’t bought the club to make a profit, he’s ambitious and wants us back in the Championship. This comes at a cost of investment with a view to make a few £££ in returns. One of the benefits of having Critch back is that Simon will trust him to spend the money wisely, so hopefully the purse strings will be pulled a little wider.

I bet Appleton and Mick Mc took a big sliceIt was, but it came at the end of the season, so wasn't part of the budget, and the club might not necessarily view it as spent.
He'll know the Villa kids!I hope that Critchley has been keeping his eye on the under 21's at Premier League clubs. We were very successful at taking the best of those that had just been released. Bowler, Grimshaw and Connolly were all brought in, with not a penny paid. If we can repeat that trick and then spend on a couple of experienced pro's, such as a midfield enforcer for example, then we will do very well.
He will, but I do hope that his knowledge expands to beyond just Villa. He'll know the Villa kids!

After last season u suspect not tbh. 3 or 4 maybe. There’ll be a lot of loans
As long as they come from Swindon or Crewe.Thats one thing Critchley is good at finding.
There won’tThere’ll be a lot of loans
Maybe Villa added to that list.As long as they come from Swindon or Crewe.
