Sad times for them. A planned takeover has collapsed and they have announced they won't be able to compete at all in 2023/24. They are hoping to come back the following year, but presumably that will be several steps further down the pyramid.

Yes and I remember the game well.
We should have been comfortably ahead with several missed chances especially Malkin.
In the last minute they were awarded a free kick outside the area and the resulting shot hit the post and bounced in.
It was the only shot they had of any kind.
Megson had to run for cover.
We just missed out on the Play Offs that season.

We signed Keith Russell I believe. His shot had hit the post at Bloomers and Joe O’Connor followed up to score. Gary Megson was given a Police escort back to the dressing room.
