Grayson rumour.

Talks with a two on the list have “been in progress since the start of the year”. Make of that what you will.

Helluva of a risk giving the job to someone who hasn't managed at this level for a single minute. Next appointment is vitally important for the future of this club and Evo would be too much of a gamble IMO.

It is and it isn't. Evo knows all about the power of pure motivation and letting the players express themselves. He will play them in a system that enjoyable and effective and it will also inspire the fans. With inspired fans we can better inspire the team...

Hopefully 😉

I agree... and personally I think he needs to take Barrow up and have that on his cv. But very tough call for sadler which wont please everyone, well evo would bar the Barrow fans..

Yeah but as said in points above what he could bring is worth the risk.

Hes been around the block as a player, is a strong character, more motivational than Larry. The players are pros, with motivation and a system and clear instruction they can express themselves and enjoy trying to score goals.

Its obviously not just that easy but get that right and your on the right track.

No one care if we lose a game or two if were going for it and exciting. But if we do well win more than we lose.

Yep, he needs that promotion under his belt. Reality is Evo's a manager with limited non-league experience who, as things stand, has won bugger all. Not a background to inspire a dressing room in desperate need of a confidence boost. Too soon, too risky.

has anyone actually watched Barrow play ? are they just this seasons decent side and Evo struck lucky?

all these people wanting him as manager and could end up worse than Larry, one for the future maybe

Not saying Evo has it by a long stretch.

just had a long phone call, the club are interviewing a fair few with no bias for one.

the interviews will go along way to who gets the job. “Does their philosophy fit with SS’s vision”.

Evo is just one. Jones too and Heckingbottom. Paul Hurst and Ryan Lowe have been contacted as I understand it.

Grayson hadn’t managed at all, and most were happy with him, first time round.

As a club we are a completely different kettle of fish compared to when Grayson first got his chance, and he only got it because he would have been the cheapest option! We just struck lucky.
