GOING BACK?

This sounds like a question that we used to ask towards the end of the Os, but....

When do you think supporters we will back at Bloomfield Road?
I will go for March 13 v Fleetwood.

I think there’s a difference between when supporters will be back and when we’ll all be back.

Depending on figures etc, I’d say we will see some fans back in the ground around February but there won’t be a game this season where it’s an open house.

Sadly, not this season, that's as far as I can guess based on the way this virus seems to be going 😞

Might be lucky for limited numbers in the new year but I’am not expecting us to be back on mass until the start of the 21/22 season.

There will be the inevitable spike of cases/hospital admissions in the new year which will set us back, but by then you'd hope the roll out of the vaccine will be getting closer. Maybe in Feb/March we will see low numbers being allowed back.

I'd be amazed if crowds at sporting events/concerts etc will be back to normal numbers before the start of next season.

"Health Secretary Matt Hancock welcomes news that the coronavirus vaccine developed by the University of Oxford stops 70% of people developing Covid symptoms, its trial shows. And he says life will start to return to normal, with an effective, approved vaccine, after Easter in 2021."

The elephant in the the room is those who refuse to take the vaccine and what that percentage is. Assuming a vaccine has 90% success rate and say 30% non- vaccers, that's a huge number to let 'normal' life resume. No one will know who the 10% are.

It will take the Govt until Jan to realise that the anti-vaccers are a problem and then another 2 months to decide how to address the problem.

Keep non vaccers in lockdown. No pubs or football matches! Simples. Issue e-passports to those vaccinated.

"To be fair, no one could have predicted that there would be people opposed to vaccination. It's easy with the benefit of hindsight." Matt Hancock and Lost Seasider, April 2021 😉

If people are gormless and gullible enough to avoid vaccination, it's their problem, and they should be kept out of the way of the rest of us so we can live normal lives again.
It's a problem that will happen. Needs addressing now. Proof of Vaccination is the only way normality can be returned.

If the vaccine works who gives a shit for those who don't get it let them catch the virus.
If it's 70% effective then they need keeping indoors out of harm's way. They can arse about on social media swapping conspiracy theories with each other all day. 👍
