Gnanduillet

In his piece in the Gerrzett he says he didn’t sign a new contract because he felt disrespected and he is capable of playing in higher level of football. Turkish 2 division? That went well then.😂😂

I suspect it went incredibly well in his bank account. Keeeerrrrrchinnng.

Seems to be a lot of animosity towards the board and manager at the moment. Some very short memories in football. I dont even want to imagine where we would be at the moment if the stains were still running the show. And to think not all that long agai folk on here were prepared to drop out of the football league to get shut.

This “ man on the board” is a quote from Gnanduillet not anyone on this board. He means the board of directors. Sorry if I didn’t make that clear.

He could have stayed but NC didn't really want him so they didn't offer an improved contract

Mansford would be the man on the board

Was definitely disrespected. Despite what 20s says. Ha ha.
Have I said anything remotely on that matter. I've not a clue whether he was or wasn't. I've been pretty clear in my support for Gnanduillet. And Feeney too, On the other hand it's you who said that our team is better than last years. It was me discussing with you that two of last years front three would get in this years team and you saying otherwise.
Ah ok. Damn.
Oops.

Now , now children play nice.

I bet he did feel disrespected by the fans. ;)

Gnado is a hell of a lot better than what we have at the mo even he hadn't started any games he'd have scored 3 or 4 goals by now.
Why because you could have thrown him on to offer something different what do we do bring a midfielder on.

We can’t get crosses into the box, without decent crosses Gnanduillet would be worse than useless. He can trap a ball as far as I can kick one, he couldn’t trap a bag of cement and has the acceleration of a reliant robin. I really miss him.😂😂

What if the Board was disrespected by our Board for the act of disrespecting Gnands by the Board?

Glad we’re all on board. 😁👍

Still better than Madine who is on what 5k+ a week?
I get it the manager didn't want the bloke and he is gangly and ain't the best but when we have only scored 7 goals we need a someone to put it in the net he does.

Seem to think he made the divisional team of the season. But hey, what do the players playing against him know!. I don't mind admitting I first thought he was crap but he won me round. As did Feeney.

As I said not without a Feeney or similar. Whether I or anyone else rates Gnanduillet really doesn’t matter, the fact remains without the right service he or Madine, Yates whoever will not score many, if any.

He would find space better than Madine and Yates do for a start and even with our crap dead ball service one or two would find his head we often have a 5ft 9 bloke up top on his own.

Just read the Gazette piece. It's a bit garbled tbh. He talks about discussions with the new Board in summer 2019. He said then he would be happy to stay at Blackpool if they got promoted because he wanted to play in the Championship. Charlton did come in for him on transfer deadline day but Pool refused to let him go at such a late stage. Charlton were not prepared to pay a fee in Jan 20 because they could get him on a free in the Summer but when they came in for him again in Summer 2020 he didn't want to sign for them in League 1.
This the key quote.

"The person on the board (not sure if that is pre-Mansford) didn’t really respect me because they didn’t offer me a new deal after the first season when I scored 14 goals. They didn’t let me go to Charlton, so I stayed and scored goals.
“I was a free agent but even in January they didn’t come with an offer, so I was like ‘maybe they want new players for the club’.(that's definitely pre-Critcley who was appointed until March 20)
“They came with an offer around February or March, but I could not accept it because I knew I could play higher in the Championship."

Make of it what you will but it sounds to me that he simply didn't want to play another season in League 1.

He wanted to leave because he thinks he is better than he is. Like quite a few others, luckily for him he got fixed up elsewhere a lot of others haven’t including you know who.

Thrown him on ?? his miles better than anything I've seen from any of our strike force this season.
He'd be first on the team sheet for me.

I will agree with you on that. But to be fair, there's very few players who don't think they are much better than they actually are.

Mansford wasn't appointed until Oct 2019. The reference to the "man on the board" was made by Gnanduillet in summer 2019.
I'm sure Mansford was involved in Feb 2020 but it's not then he was referring to. At least that's the way I read it but I did say it was a bit garbled.
