Getting in his excuses in early

Appy has stated that Connelly, Husband and Thorniley probably won't play for various reasons.
If true not a very good picture, but he could just be creating a smoke screen.
Or could it be that most of our senior players have given up ??
Wigan maybe his farewell ? Ride into the sunset once again with a bag of gold!

Of the fact he's stating players that won't be fit? What's he supposed to say?

He won't leave after the Wigan game.

Why would it not be true? Thorniley can’t play due to head injury protocol and Husband has done his hamstring.

Bizarre o/p

He may have also pointed out that it's 11 vs 11 and we both have a goal that can be scored in, almost as if he's helping Wigan here......

If he didn't say anything, it might have gone under the radar, they might not have realised.

Bastard.

Jud is (deffo out under the head injury protocol), & even if he's just tweaked his hamstring, Hubby is highly unlikely to play, but I hope Connolly (Mr dependable) will.
Due to recent performances and losses, some supporters are understandably a bit down, but MA is merely stating the facts & no more.
MA is a tough character & will be doing his best, with a patched up side, to get us a win on Saturday.
Now is the time to be positive and get behind the boys. We're up against it but that's when we're at our best - think Rocky "it ain't over til it's over'.

Someone said minimum 6 days so could he be back... prob not. Over a week out for being hit with a ball seems ridiculous.

Imagine as a kid playing football and being hit with a ball, I need 14 days out... 🙄

In the 60's footballs were rock hard & soaked up water, you'd head it and see stars .... but you'd play on and NEVER let your mates down 🤣
I once got hit square in the forehead with one of them rock hard synthetic cricket balls. I grew an egg, got tears in my ears, but played on ... until I was sick 🤮

And that's why players from that age are now coming down with dementia far more than the average populace.

As he left the pitch he was staggering about.

Is that what you hope will happen ?

I certainly dont. I want him here coaching the players getting the tactics sorted and preparing us to battle for the rest of the season.

4year contract ,he's here for a while yet , but if he has stated facts and we know we already have a weakened team ,then why is this an excuse early . Its just a fact and a warning that we may be fighting an uphill battle for Saturday . Is this wrong in someway.

JJ…..hit on the head by a ball ( shot) from a professional footballer who can kick a football a darn sight harder than you and I could even dream of.
Clearly you don’t seem to give a shit about the consequences of risking further issues arising from concussion…maybe you should ask those close to those sports people who have suffered from it.
I’d rather we now follow these protocol even though they can affect team selection.

Even worse than PKE at the moment and that really is bad😳
Narr AVFTT is only a miniscule representation of our glorious, global fan base, & I'm sure messages on other forums are far more negative & nasty than are printed on here.
It does tend to be the same few individuals who are - glass half empty or argumentative, abusive or insulting etc.
When we're so close to the relegation zone, negativity will surface. When we beat the pie eaters, it'll happy days .... until after the WC.

Firstly I doubt they can kick a ball that much harder than the average fit person could.

You can see the ball in that he heads away, wasn't a rocket by any means.

I'm not saying they shouldn't follow protocol, just comparing how different it is to when I was a kid. 14 days seems overkill, although 6 is the minimum, but h&s has gone ott these days.

I must have been sleeping somewhere along the line but can anyone explain why Jordan Thorniley is referred to as JUD?

It won’t happen but I would love to see you being hit by a ball hit by a professional footballer in the face at the speed they can achieve….
The average fit person will not come anywhere close …end of.

Yep, I'd be out for 14 days 🙄 people playing in non league are basically like some average fit people of that age and can blast the ball too, outside the elite athletes, footballers are more renowned for skill than an extreme power advantage for kicking. Watch lees video of the kick, was nothing Ronaldo like.

The way you're going on are you sure you weren't hit by one on Tuesday?

Of course if we win the game it'll have been the greatest double bluff in the history of football!!

I can answer that: He lives near to me & my neighbours / their son especially know him and his parents really well (I don't profess to). He's a really nice guy who is known by his family & friends as Jud (simply a shortened version of Jordan). This nickname has also been picked up by all those at BFC including MA.
He loves being at BFC under MA, but his contract intentions remain personal to him.
