Genuine Question

Depends where my team was placed in the league.

If my team was second, fighting for promotion, with the teams around us playing well, I would be a bit concerned that one of the teams with 4 games in hand would take 9 or 10 points from those games.

However when we are talking about teams in the bottom half of the table, what is the average return from 4 games? 4-5 points?

I expect we will be heading a familiar Scouse whine soon enough as the Nobbers lose their enthusiasm playing every three or four days.

Depends on injuries and suspensions as well as how far you progress in the cup. HNY Giro!

5 points from 4 is relegation form.
We’ve chucked away at least 2pts. It’s a poor return not helped by bad luck and two mistakes. We’ve not been playing badly, so that’s a bonus.
No guarantee you will beat that though. Lose the first game back and you’d take it

5 points from 4 games has never been relegation form in all the time I’ve been watching English football.

Come on then Giro. Enlighten us all. What would YOU prefer?
The positives. The only team we need to rely on is, ourselves.

We only need 6 points out of 12 to close the gap+.

The negatives.
Football’s a funny old game!

By the time nobbers have caught up they’ll be complaining they were tired when we stick it up them at dump dale in March, utp!!!

Can’t see that happening they have commitments to broadcasters to provide play off games in a certain window and have commitments to play the Wembley play off games on a certain date

I guess it'll depend upon how much extra disruption we see over the next couple of months, at some point there just isn't going to be the time to fit all the matches in.

It will slow down enormously after the Xmas and new year period.

And at that rate by the time we play at Deepdale we will already have 45.The question is will they have cleared the fixture deficit by then and will they be on 45 and safe?.

Points are Cash games in hand are on Credit

Think you'll draw two and lose two. This guy Lowe doesn't seem the sharpest bulb to me, not worried about him cooking up a master plan to make your very average squad over perform.

PKE are trying to sign Ryan Hardie. They'll be looking for 10-12 points from 4 games if they get him. 🤠
