Alex is extremely talented but definitely off his head!
Like all others who live life on the edge, he has an attitude of "if I die doing what I love, then I'll die happy".
He now has a wife & two daughters & hopefully this will be his 'achilles heel'. If he continues doing what he does, then like many others before him, he is highly likely to die doing it.

I think he's undiagnosed ASD to be honest, no one is that focused.

I wondered that, too, particularly as he did not seem to have any understanding of how his actions affected those around him

Just seen his mum started climbing at 60, and is the oldest woman to climb El Capitan. Whole family sounds aff theer heids

I know it' thrown around a lot these days but he's got all the signs.
